I know we see Pragya getting into issues and troubles all the time and keeps crying. Of course with Sriti's amazing acting, whenever Pragya cries, one can easily feel sympathy for her. And the highlight of the show is how much Pragya suffers.

But how much are others responsible and how much she is responsible?

Pragya is roughly 30 year old woman. She has had double masters degrees and a job! She is from a middle class family living in a metro city. Let's not forget that. All this makes her previlged to know the world better and know her rights better! She is not a uneducated, illiterate fool from a dark corner of the world whom everyone tortures.

I personally detest the portrayal of a woman like that and set her as an example of an ideal daughter in law.

So someone mentioned how every character tortures Pragya. But it's one thing if someone catches you offguard and it's another thing you let things happen around you even when you can stop it.

Maa forced her to marry Abhi. Pragya had it in her mind that Abhi won't be right for her. Yet, she agreed to please Maa. She would have known the marriage won't work give the differences she recognized. When you know that, was she foolish to expect a all happy marriage?

Agreed what Abhi did was cruel! But he did tell her the reason why he did that. Once she knew it, why did she tolerate the marriage without telling him the truth?? Her Maa was fit and fine and supported her whenever Abhi was wrong to her (MMS, TaBhi pregnancy issue etc.). Goes to show Pragya didn't know her mother or had it in her to fight Abhi. So even when Abhi started being nice to her in some ways, even when she realized and fell in love thinking he is not a bad guy, she chose to not tell truths.

Whenever she was accused of things she didn't do, such as MMS, theft etc. she waited for someone to solve the problem for her. She never had it in her to walk away holding her head high.

She knew Mitali put Raj in jail! Instead of trying to help innocent Raj, she chose to not speak up! Later Raj turned into a villain and it's only then Pragya spoke! Where was her inner conscience??

She knew Tannu was a bad woman early on when she caused Maa's heart attack. She never chose to confront her and tell her off but instead supported her duing TaBhi pregnancy as if Tannu was a poor innocent girl who needed all the support in the world. Where was Pragya's good judgement?

Aaliyah was caught trying to kill BB. Abhi wanted to punish Aaliyah.. But Pragya chose to keep her home and later also sent her to Australia! Did she behave like a responsible person here?

Daadi told her to become Mogambo! Why did she have to agree?! When she realized she is not winning why didn't she give up? Did she have it in her to go by her heart or dare and tell Abhi the truth?? She always convinced herself with some excuse to not take risk!!
In the last epi, Daadi tried to blast Abhi and make him feel guilty. He gave back and left because he didn't think Daadi was right. Also he was listening to Taaliyah in the early days of marriage. When he realized their ways are wrong and useless, he stopped working with them. Why didn't Pragya have the strength to stand on her own?

So Pragya as a person makes so many illogical mistakes and ends up putting herself in trouble and others too. People walk over you but if you have inner strength, you stand up and kick them off.

That's something I would like to see in Pragya. Not always hiding behind lies and others' pressures and cry when things get out of hand. I want to see her tackling problems upfront especially when you have an upper hand.

Then Pragya doesn't need to suffer, Maa doesn't need to get kidnapped and beaten up, BB doesn't need to die, Abhi doesn't need to cry while Pragya has truth and power in her hand.

Pragya's suffering - she is shown suffering from the first epsisode till yesterday episode and sometimes she is at fault and sometimes she is not at fault.

But yesterday she is definetly at fault.

She takes better decisions on her own but the she beds to Maa, dadi etc - I can tolerate that because she respects them etc but then getting manipulated by Tanu for the second time? *sigh*

I can't sympathise with her sufferings and support her though I feel bad for her.

There is a psychological issue called martyr complex. A lot of these TV soap heroines seem to be built around that psyche.
People with martyr complex have low self esteem, overt sense of responsibility to others, afraid to take risk, worried of being accused etc... they just end up putting themselves in problems and problems..

It has a lot to do with abuse/insecurities faced in childhood etc..

Anyways, my point is.. the TV soap heroines do not need to be shown like this and applauded.. It's a problem.. they need help.

Pragya always wants to see her loved once happy even at the cost of her own happiness & takes some stupid decisions.

I feel sorry for her but can't support her ways, for me honesty is more important then plannings & plottings.

Whatever the name of the show is, the plots and twists are similar. I have seen 1-2 soaps before.. not much different really. I have heard other soaps going on now have even worse stuff.. Its a trend sadly.

Love...Blind love...maybe thats her problem? She was so sensible and brave before she fell in love.

I don't agree fully. She so easily agreed to marry Abhi.. Yeah fighting Abhi in Aakash case was good but when it came to her own issues.. She just didn't hold herself.

It's not love, Huts.
Love would have given her strength! But here the poor girl is so insecure even trusting Tannu.. Uff..

I hope the future we see her trusting herself and her loved ones.. With a positive attitude!

What about trust? People around her don't seem to trust her to make her own decision. They always hope she followed their dictation...hmmm...and that makes her very unsure to take the first step to trust her own self, to make decision for herself? What am saying here? Felt like blabbering here...hope you got what I meant.

She's definitely not suffering by choice!!😊 She tries to solve others' problems at the cost of her happiness. Bura waqt for her now!! Her horoscope and Abhi's were supposed to be a perfect match. 😕 Maybe dadi gave her kundali instead of Abhi's? She's squished between her ma and dadi.

Take a look at the cast. Everyone in KKB is suffering in this track. Maybe Raakash are the only ones who are doing ok!
