Although Pragya knew about Tannu not being pregnant with Abhi's child for a year now, the plot had not moved an inch. Because the person who makes a decision on whether Tannu stays in his life or not was going to be Abhi. And he could only make it when he knows the baby is not his.
Abhi was not given real hints so far. And he was only thinking Tannu hates Pragya because she is his wife and Tannu wants to take that position. And then he thought Pragya dislikes Tannu because of his association with her. He never knew there was a war between them regarding the baby matter.
While we all feel Tannu won't be exposed in this DNA track, it definitely introduces Abhi to the problem. He will hear the paternity of the baby is in question. He may not believe it right away, he may feel confused but the point is the issue will get to his head. And he will investigate it or will be able to see stuff clearly as the story proceeds.
The best would be if he investigates the matter himself finally. Because we have seen he does a much better job in figuring out things unlike the team.
So I am happy with this move at least. I was not expecting Tannu to be exposed in a way it matters, but Abhi knowing the issue itself is a major plot mover.
