The best would have been he believed the truth, threw Taaliyah out of his life and started his happy life with Pragya.
The worst could not have been he does not believe Pragya at all. Because even when Pragya has turned against him as Mogambo, he is only trying to figure her out, still keeping his distance from Tannu and expressing he loves Fuggy not Tannu, he still doesn't trust Aaliyah.
The worst would have been he wants to know himself that Tannu is indeed not pregnant with his child. He would have dragged Tannu to his trusted doctor, got tests done, and realized the baby is not his. Or he has the ability to even get Tannu to admit the truth just by shouting at her, because he can be commanding and get the person on the other side shaking when he talks.
And Aaliyah- he would have had his doubts on her to be not sincere. At least he would have gotten more careful with her or talked to her one to one about why she is doing all this etc..
The whole drama PraDa have put up is like he was going to die or something..
The world already knows his marriage with Pragya ended in a divorce and that he was going to marry super model Tannu. People knew about TaBhi affair even before AbhiGya marriage and now they also seem to know she is pregnant (since Nikhil told Abhi as if it's known to the world when he met them at the hospital). So, of course his image is not traditionally clean anyway and he hasn't bothered much about it. Nor has his popularity is shown to go down because of all this. So, it's not like PraDa are able to protect his image that way.
And about Aaliyah, if anyone loves her in KB world, it's Abhi. I do sometimes feel he may even give her his wealth if that makes her happy. I don't think he wants to see Aaliyah doing more crimes and growing further vicious as it is happening right now. I don't know how PraDa are teaching a lesson to Aaliyah at all either.
