Because is intention was not to remind Pragya about fuggy.. He made it clear in this episode.He wants to play to get his property back and in the process he realized some thing fishy and still put that thought on back burner and decided getting his property back is more important for now.. So that realization does not help to cover up the fact how he demeaned fuggy to trap Pragya..

He believes he has done worse with Tanu while being married to Pragya. Is he left with any "right" way? Money he doesn't have to fight a legal case. He has begged, requested, shouted etc.. to get the truth out.. but she wouldn't budge for this prolonged time.

If you say he is not left with any right way , then one can say Pragya has not been left any way to prove him that she has not got effected by his words and to counter his plan of pataoing.
