There was a scene today where Pragya is thinking to be a wife in all way and she wears her kumkum and mangalsutra.( of course she hides them)
So this is what she meant by becoming Purani Pragya.

Anyway that doesn't matter..

Which is more important for a wife ?
Husband happiness or a chain called Mangalsutra?
Husband love or a powder called kumkum ?

What is the use of these symbols when the person whose name she is wearing them is not happy?
What is the use of the fast when the person whom she is fasting for her is in tears?

Which is more important for Pragya symbols of marriage or marriage?

She left Abhi for Tanu but dint want to remove the MS... Today I will become Purani Pragya which means she will wear her symbols of marriage not be a wife but feel like a wife..

She dint got angry when he talked about her love,called her cheat after she turned mogambo but when he questioned her kumkum. She got angry and decided to answer the questions

Pragya is often about symbols than real emotions. She can see her mother crying, hurting and defend it to herself as it is only because of her "duty" for her husband.. and so on...

Symbols of marriage are the USP of daily soaps , EK ones. And all meaningful drama shows shut shop within 3-6 months this year due to poor TRPs. Anyone who watches SP shows will know. Sony shows with much better content than these get a TRP of 0.2 and 0.3. Producers won't make the same mistakes again 😆

I don't get this argument that TRP viewers want this. Who said they will not like something more meaningful? It's just that it's easy to show/write this kind of stuff than a meaningful drama. So the soap makers are going for easy routes using shock factors to cover up their lack or laziness in creativity.

Tia Trp aunties don't like bahu's who are bold and think and take a decision.The ideal bahu should be weak and fullfill all the duties and responsibilities and get scolding and cry.

I think symbols are important only if it means something to you. If you don't attach any significance, the wearing or not of the mangasutra or kumkum doesn't mean much. As for the fasting, don't know if women keep the fast to please their saasumas or their husbands or just because it is a ritual they are used to seeing or because they sincerely believe it will prolong the lives of their husbands.

In Pragya's case, she left Abhi for his happiness, knowing he would never forgive himself if he turned his back on Tanu and his child. Pragya has proof of this, the man has had his girlfriend enconsed in the Mehra Mansion since day one. Imagine living with Abhi as his wife, bearing him children but living with Tanu and her child under the same roof. That is what Abhi would have wanted, he is childish and selfish to the core not that besotted Pragya would agree with either terms but then love is blind.

Pragya came back to expose Tanu, she is being forced to keep up this charade by Daadi of all people. So yes, if she wants to don her sati savitri avatar and fast for him, let her. He is one lucky guy.

By the way, I did NOT like the fact that Abhi hesitated even if for a few moments before rushing to save Pragya on the Ravan Dahan day.

I don't see any contradiction in what Pragya is doing. This entire new avatar of hers is a vrath to make Abhi happy. On a daily basis she's dealing with danger and difficulties - as a penance - for a bigger purpose. Kind of like an emotional or mental fasting!! Actually now I'm wondering if CV's have a hidden meaning here??
