Daadi did a good thing for Pragya too by getting Abhi married to Pragya. Pragya is trying to protect him but Abhi too has protected Pragya so many times!! It's a good deal for both of them.

Is that what the institution of marriage is referred to as these days? (just kidding, I know you didn't mean it that way)

I don't think daadi gave much thought to Pragya's dreams and desires . All she wanted was to snag a seedhi saadi susheel ladki for her bighdaa hua baccha.

Some of us are lucky enough to have the intellect to recognize that KKB is only fiction but unfortunately there are a lot of people from the TRP audience who take these things seriously.
I am a social worker and come across lots of cases where well meaning elders from decent families arrange marriages for their good-for-nothing boys with decent unsuspecting girls hoping that the boy will turn over a new leaf once he is settled. But most of those stories don't turn out to be love stories like KKB and end disastrously for both families involved. Many of those girls run away, the bolder ones end up filing complaints against their in-laws.

Pragya didn't marry Abhi so she could be of service to daadi and make him a better person. She had dreams and aspirations of her own like any other newly married girl but all she got was pain. Fine, they wove a dreamy love story out of that bizarre situation. Considering it is a soap I'll go along with that but it is so wrong of daadi to say that Pragya has let her down. It is her own upbringing that is responsible for her less-than-perfect grandkids. She needs to salvage this mess herself instead of shooting from Pragya's shoulder.

Agree, I know a family who married off their son in hopes that the marriage would make him more responsible but itnstead the shaadi ended in few months. Such expectations are very rampant in our society and this concept has been used in soaps and movies numerous times.

NorthNode, No, Daadi didn't have Pragya's welfare in her mind exactly when she got her as bahu. But see then, Sarla Maa thought Pragya will get a rich and nice family..She didn't really think if Pragya would fit as Abhi's wife (think of his glam glitz world etc. in that perspective). So both thought about their own children at that point.. fairly so.
Nor did Sarla Maa think about TaBhi affair (yeah they all knew it).. keeping Pragya in mind!!!😕

But Daadi has given her best to Pragya.. she has treated her as her own kid, even better at times.

I did not agree with Daadi defining what Pragya should be or shouldn't be.

But out of context I loved that Daadi asked Pragya not to cry, be strong and bring Taaliyah down.

I just said at the end of the day Pragya did have some benefit out of the marriage while she still didn't get a husband. Abhi did save her mom's KB hall, pulled her out of kidnap mess, helped with some hospital stuff etc.. And of course Daadi has always expected Abhi to stand by Pragya.

Yes, the definition of marriage in soaps is sadly just around such dramatic things. It's not going to be some real issues they are gonna show- like dealing with a financial thing/ego clash or lost job or something!😆

Abhi is not a drunkard or a womaniser or a useless fellow or whatever . Abhi isn't a boy who needs a " wife " to tame him He was not a boy dadi want him to be.

Even before marriage he love his family and cared for them.
He was a responsile son , bro , friend ..

Only thing he saw the outside world materialised . He dint believe in "true love"
😆 but he loved his people.

Dadi married him to p because she wanted some one to love him as abhisheik prem Mehra not abhi , the rockstar ( like Tanu )she wanted his wife to set right the family not him. She wanted his wife to make him see the difference between real and fake people.

Any way he is not some random rich guy.he was a celebrity . His affair with Tanu was publicised in papers too as a rumour. They knew his family was not the best ( rachu matter ) but still Pragya mom wanted her to marry him and p agreed inspite of knowing everything.
She knew he made suresh lose his job.

There was no majboori it was done willingly.

So I wouldn't like to call p a victim of a failed marriage by her in laws.

One of my friend got married when I was in school. Her marriage is a failure.they were cheated and thieir poverty was take as an advantage. I personally saw her suffering so I know how hurting it is for a girl.

Abhi reason to marry is completly wrong and it cannot be backed by any reason and so is him leaving her on their wedding night and going to T.

Arranged marriage are like this in India.its just like a business deal . They boys family and the boy want a type of girl and the same for girls too. They get married people get married sometimes knowing nothing about each other.
They face so many challenges , there would be no love , many people have kids but stil they don't love their partners. Some get adjusted to each other and some get seperated.

The show portrays such a arranged marriage. The difference is it's a mu from his side. I don't think p married A with great hopes/ dreams / desires . She knew it was going to be tough. Isn't that the reason for she rejecting to marry him because it will not work out ?

She had doubts on this marriage but wat she faced was unexpected..she stayed in the marriage for her mom. Soon she realised he was not the way he is portraying himself .she fell in love. She never hated him not because she dint want to. She dint hate him because she was clear from day 1 . He is in a mu .

Finally , what I want to say is p is not a victim of a marriage by her in laws.

Okay there is one more point I want to make.
Remember I am not defending Daadi having the right to question Pragya about leaving Abhi and walking away when he was in this big problem.

At a surface level, Pragya's husband made a baby with another woman- Pragya has all the rights to whack him and abandon him. Period.

But in the context here, Pragya knew better than Abhi about Tannu's wrong doings. Pragya was the one who used to call Tannu's love as superficial from the very beginning and hope Abhi will be her real husband some day. Then this pregnancy issue comes up, Abhi very clearly expresses he was unconscious and even shows his disbelief that Tannu could be lying initially. But Pragya does not give a thought about Tannu's ability to really betray him despite knowing she was someone who tried to kill her sister/called her Maa and caused heart attack for her selfish purposes. She knew Tannu lies to Abhi straight on face when she caught her eating chocos on KC day. Pragya never revealed these things to Abhi directly or indirectly.

And then Pragya goes beyond ways to bring TaBhi together while Abhi is not even interested in marrying Tannu. Bascially Pragya does not weigh or judge Tannu right, does not consider Abhi's emotions or her own emotions/their happiness but ships Tannu/baby. So, that way, it would have been better if Pragya stood for her marriage against Tannu by having a better judgement of the situation and trust in her marriage and her own love.

So Daadi's words to Pragya aren't right coming from Daadi's mouth but are somewhere right too.

Savitri was the wife of Satyavan.. Satyavan had only one year to live but still Savitri married him. And later when God of Death (Yama) came to take Satyavan's life, Savitri argues with him in such a way that even death of God is convinced to not take her husband's life- She asks for children from her husband..tricks God in a way..😆

Basically Daadi is telling Pragya to fight for her husband.

Hey folks, so we've all been asking and wondering about the same things 😊. My head has been spinning with a lot of questions too. I felt today's episode dadi cleared a lot of questions and doubts about their plan (at least for me). I summarized them as Q&A's. I'm not sure we all agree with dadi's plan or reasins, just thought you might find them interesting. I may have left some things out! Sorry!
