Abhigya TS: All That Matters
Chapter 1
I was sick and tired of everything
When I called you last night from Glasgow
All I do is eat and sleep and sing
Wishing every show was the last show
(Wishing every show was the last show)
Pragya stood in the makeup room feeling frustrated. If she had to feel anything right now, it had to be happiness. She had all the proofs that she had collected over the past month against Tannu and Aaliyah safely in her purse. And today she had organized a concert in which she was about to punish them for all the things they had done to her Abhi in front of the media. She knew that once this was over, she could finally confess the truth to him and hopefully, he would understand her. And then they would finally be together. In spite of all the happy future dreams, Pragya was feeling disheartened and the reason was simple: he was not here. She had commanded him, emotionally blackmailed him with the help of Daadi and even threatened him, all in vain. He had simply refused to come to the concert. She had been trying to contact him since morning and he was not picking up the phone. A few minutes ago, Purab had given her the message that he didn't want to attend any of her concerts. She had felt her heart break and now, just a few minutes before her first ever concert, she was wishing that the earth would open and swallow her up. She turned sharply as she heard a knock at the door.
"Come in."
So imagine I was glad to hear you're coming
(Glad to hear you're coming)
Suddenly I feel all right
(And suddenly it's gonna be)
And it's gonna be so different
When I'm on the stage tonight
Her secretary entered in and Pragya felt disappointed. That was when she realized she had been expecting him at the door. What a fool she was!
"Madam, the guests have arrived and the concert is in twenty minutes. It would be good if you could come and meet them now."
Pragya simply nodded her head and dismissed her secretary. She sighed to herself. She had to be strong... for him. As she turned to go, she felt her phone vibrate. She looked at it dolefully.
"A new message... from him??"
She quickly opened it and as she read it, a slow smile spread on her face.
"I will be there. Don't think I am doing this to obey you. I am doing it all for Daadi."
She clapped her hands in glee. This man could drive her crazy. A single message from him and all her doubts and frustrations vanished. With a smile on her face and a spring in her steps, she left the room.
Facing twenty thousand of your friends
How can anyone be so lonely
Part of a success that never ends
Still I'm thinking about you only
(Still I'm thinking about you only)
She looked around searching for him in the crowded hall. He was not there yet and she was disappointed again. Come on, Pragya, you need to give him time'she thought. She tried to smile politely at the guests as they approached her but her heart was longing for him and only him.
"Pragya Madam, this is your first ever concert, isn't it? How do you feel?"
*Lonely, missing him*
"Very excited."
"What made you want to do this concert?"
*Him*
"I studied music and I decided that the time has come to finally show off my talent."
"One last question: Will your ex-husband, Rockstar Abhi be here tonight?"
*That is all I wish for*
There are moments when I think I'm going crazy
(Think I'm going crazy)
But it's gonna be alright
(You'll soon be changing everything)
Everything will be so different
When I'm on the stage tonight
"Yes, he will."
Pragya turned to see Daadi standing by her. She smiled at the one woman who always stood by her no matter what happened.
"Now, will you kindly excuse us? Pragya needs a last minute touch up."
Daadi pulled her backstage.
"Pragya, is everything ready?"
"Yes, Daadi. Don't worry, it will be all right."
"I wish so too."
"Daadi, is he really?"
"Yes, now let's rehearse once more."
Pragya didn't hear anything other than the yes'. She smiled to herself; everything was just going to be fine.
"PRAGYA??"
"Huh?"
"I was saying, let's rehearse once more."
"No, Daadi. It's almost time."
"I am feeling nervous."
"Come on, Daadi, this is the day we have been waiting for. We just cannot feel nervous and lose now."
"Will you be able to..."
"With your blessings, I will. And HE will be here too. After all, we are doing all this for HIM, right Daadi?"
"Yes."
So I'll be there when you arrive
The sight of you will prove to me I'm still alive
And when you take me in your arms
And hold me tight
I know it's gonna mean so much tonight
Pragya slowly entered the stage and looked around at the huge crowd facing her. She felt a little dizzy; this was the first time she was singing in front of such a big crowd. She tried hard to control her fluttering heart and compose herself. Suddenly she caught a sight of a pair of brown eyes looking at her keenly. He was here. She felt a new confidence in her. She would do it; she had to, for him, for their future. She had a surprise for him tonight. She had planned to recreate their confession scenario and confess her love for him as soon as the witches were exposed. She felt her cheeks warm up as she remembered their previous love confession. Maybe he'll hold her like that again and maybe this time, she will get a kiss without feeling guilty. And maybe he'll carry her to his bed and maybe he'll...
"Madam, we need to start."
Pragya looked at her secretary and shook her head. She had to come out of her daydream mode now. Control your thoughts, Pragya.' she said to herself.
"Yes, let's start."
Tonight the Super Trouper lights are gonna find me
(Sup-p-per Troup-p-per)
Shining like the sun
(Sup-p-per Troup-p-per)
Smiling, having fun
(Sup-p-per Troup-p-per)
Feeling like a number one
Pragya walked confidently to the stage as the crowd cheered for her. Her performance would be excellent. After all, she was the wife of... scratch that... ex wife of... no scratch that again... soon to be wife of the one and only Rockstar: Abhishek Prem Mehra. And she was here to rock the world.
Tonight the Super Trouper beams are gonna blind me
(Sup-p-per Troup-p-per)
But I won't feel blue
(Sup-p-per Troup-p-per)
Like I always do
(Sup-p-per Troup-p-per)
'Cause somewhere in the crowd there's you
She took hold of the mike. She didn't feel nervous. Something she had to considering the fact that the last time she went on stage to sing a song when she was 10 years old, she had fainted. She didn't feel uneasy that the witches were continuously looking at her. She didn't feel scared that she would let Daadi down. For he was here and she had seen him and that was all that mattered to Miss Pragya Arora soon to be Mrs. Pragya Mehra.
"Hello, all you beautiful people. Welcome to Pragya's World of Secrets."
