Raj and Aaliya: A Very Dangerous Plan Indeed
I usually don't comment here - I've been a silent reader for quite some time now, but recent comments as of late have pulled me out from being a mere bystander.
I for one enjoyed that moment when Pragya overheard Aaliya and drifted off into a conversation that was later revealed to have all taken place in her head. I noticed that some people referred to it as a daydream, but I for one saw it more as her thought process. FantasyAaliya was more a reflection of the breakdown of events to follow if Pragya didn't approach the situation cautiously, because in the grander scheme of things the end result leads disastrously to two things:
1) Abhi: Would you rather...
a) Die a slow death every day without Pragya: Aaliya knows her brother inside and out. She knows how deeply Abhi's feelings for Pragya run. Trapping Abhi into marrying Tanu is punishment in and of itself, because she knows her brother will slowly self-destruct without Pragya. She herself saw what happened to him after Pragya laughed in his face and called her I-Love-You an April Fool's joke. Had Ram Singh not been there and had called Aaliya, Abhi would have drank himself to death. He was in no condition to care for himself. She knows her brother cannot live without Pragya. She knows Pragya's caring nature would never allow her to put herself first before that of an innocent child, unless abhigya somehow found out Tanu's child was not his - which is why just for good measure Aaliya created a backup plan just in case, which is...
b) Image assassination: If Abhi stood his ground and refused to marry Tanu or somehow found out that the child that she was carrying was not his, then Aaliya already set the groundwork for him to be essentially persecuted in the eyes of the public. DNA tests are all prepared to prove otherwise should he ever protest that the child Tanu is carrying is not his. He ends up falling from grace in his fans eyes. People tend to put him on a pedestal, which is why he's punished far worse than the norm when compared to anyone else. Sure, he would eventually be able to clear his name, but by then most of the damage would be done, because Aaliya would eventually have already activated Plan 2 into motion during that time, being...
2) Abhi goes bankrupt and Purab ends up in jail
Raj and Aaliya withdrawing money from Abhi's account will not wreck Abhirab's friendship - that was never their goal. Purab has always been a pillar in Abhi's life. Aaliya knows this. Making Abhi bankrupt is one thing, because as long as Abhi has Purab then there is no possible way that Abhi would ever end up on the streets. Purab would never let that happen. Aaliya is essentially killing two birds with one stone here. What we're looking at is embezzlement charges: Raj and Aaliya usurp everything and end up shuffling money by untraceable means, while Purab takes the fall and ends up in jail. And if Purab is in jail, then he can't be with Bulbul. Hence, if Aaliya can't have Purab, then no one can. Purab in a way has always been Abhi's safety net and without him: Abhi having his image attacked combined with eventual bankruptcy - Abhi will in fact end up right back where he started.
As a result, Pragya's so-called dream was anything but that. It was more like waking up from a nightmare only to realize that she was in fact living it. Pragya is in a very precarious situation. She needs to handle things carefully.
The first part of Aaliya's whole plan is contingent on Tanu being compliant and not abandoning her. Pragya needs to cleverly make Tanu somehow admit that Nikhil is the father of her baby and not Abhi, just like she had manipulated Akaash into confessing that he had gotten Rachna pregnant and that the reports everyone had seen had been tampered with.
I don't know if I'm just reading too much into things, but I strongly disagree with people who think Aaliya and Raj are nothing more than comic villains who don't know what they're doing. I actually think that's they've thought this plan out perfectly. Heck, even Pragya realized how deep their damage runs. Granted, she doesn't yet know about Raj's role in all this, but isn't that what her new fierce avtar is partly for. Keeping Abhi in the dark about Pragya's accident was warranted because if he knew or saw her in that condition then he would have never left her side and lord knows what taaliyah would have plotted during that time. Maybe Abhi will be brought into her plan later or she just won't reveal anything to him right now, because we need him to explode at Tanu on the mandap after all is revealed. Pragya telling Abhi during the mehendi or the sangeet may prove dangerous, because we all know how he gets when he's blindsided and made a fool. He acts impulsively. She couldn't reason with him when she tried to get in between him and Aaliya during Bulbul's wedding fiasco. Pragya was like a poor lamb caught in between a lion and lioness. Abhi would quickly and swiftly drag Tanu out of Mehra mansion by her hair and toss her out, which would only prove disastrous for Abhi in the end if no one else is around to witness Tanu crumbling and admitting that the child is not his for it to spread like wildfire. My wish is that Nikhil tells her to shove it when she eventually comes crawling back to him. Nikhil may be creepy, but even he deserves better than the likes of skanky Tanu.
