Chapter Fourteen
He stood rooted to the spot watching the scene in front of him,it is as if my entire world is collapsing on me again.I never thought my another daughter too will betray my trust,but when I saw him kissing her,my control finally snapped.I walked up to them and gave a tight slap to both of them.
Prasanth:Don't you feel ashamed to behave like this,I never expected this from you Pragya you betrayed my trust today.
Pragya:Papa what did I do?
Prasanth:You're asking me what did you do even after all this Pragya.
Pragya:Papa I really don't understand what you are saying.
Prasanth:Wah Pragya,you're not even ready to accept your mistake.You are asking me what did you do when you are hugging and kissing him in front of my eyes.
Pragya:Papa you have misunderstood the situation,there is nothing their between me and Abhi.
Prasanth:Is that is so even after seeing everything with my own eyes I am not a fool to belive what you are saying Pragya and I know the difference between truth and lie very well.
Abhi:Uncle she is telling you the truth,there is only one relationship between us that is of a boss and employees nothing else.
Prasanth:Enough,not one more word from either of you.We will discuss this matter after we reach our home ok.I want you to get in the car now without any arguments do you understand?
They nod their head,after getting their things in the car they silently sit in the back seat.Mean while Prasanth makes a call and come back to the car.
Abhi:Hey Ramu after repairing the car you bring it back home,we got a lift.
Pragya's Home
Hearing the knock on the door.Sarla opens it.
Sarla:Auntie,you are here at this time is everything alright?
Dadi:Prasanth has called,he asked me to come to your house is everything alright Sarla?
Sarla:I don't know auntie why he called you at this time, he has not called me yet,why don't you come inside we will know what the matter is once he comes home.
Bulbul:Auntie did Pragya come?(coming downstairs)
Sarla:No dear she has not come yet.

Sarla,Bulbul&Dadi:What.
Sarla:You must mistook the situation they won't do anything like that,I know them very well.
Prasanth:Its not me who misunderstood the situation its you who fail to understand what happened.You always supported her every mistakes right it is because of that all this happened,and today I am not going to listen to anything you have got to say today.They have been lying to me for the past two days.They where staying in the same room and they are hiding this from us.
Pragya:Shocked how did dad know the truth(looks at Sarla who nods her head negatively)
Prasanth:You are thinking how I got to know all this right?
Flashback
When I couldn't reach both of your phone I called Neeha.
Neeha:Hello.
Prasanth:Neeha dear I am Pragya's Father is she with you I couldn't reach her phone.
Neeha:No Uncle I am at my sisters house.You do one thing uncle call Abhi sir since they are sharing the room he can help you.
Prasanth:They are sharing a room?
Neeha:Yes uncle.
Prasanth:I can't reach Abhi's phone too.
Neeha:Then they must have left for the party,try to call them after sometimes uncle you can defiantly reach them.

Prasanth:I didn't belive her Pragya because I thought my daughter will never lie to me but today you proved me wrong Pragya,are you going to say now that you didn't lie to me?
Pragya:Papa I lied to you but.
Prasanth:Did you hug him today?
Pragya:Yes but.
Prasanth:Enough I don't want to hear anything else.
Abhi:Uncle please listen to what we have to say.
Sarla:Please listen to them once ji,she has told me before that she is.
Prasanth:Sarla I have told you before stay out of this matter.
Sarla:But please don't make a decision before listening to the entire truth,they are innocent.
Bulbul:Uncle auntie is telling you the truth,please listen to Pragya once.
Prasanth:Bulbul I am talking to my daughter,it will be better for you if you stay out of this.
Bulbul:But uncle they are innocent.
Prasanth:Bulbul I have told you before I am discussing my family problem with my family so please stay out of it.
She flinches after hearing his harsh reply , she lowers her head and remain silent after that .Pragya's heart went out for her sister but she couldn't do anything now.
Pragya:Papa we both shared a room because one our room we booked got cancelled in the last minute and I lied to you because I thought you will get angry after hearing this, nothing else.
Prasanth: You want me to believe you,what is the guarantee that you're telling me the truth now.
Abhi:Uncle why are behaving like this we are telling you the truth what will we get by lying to you?
Prasanth:You both have made a mistake and you will receive your punishment.Auntie I respect you a lot,I thought you have brought up your grandson well I never expected this behavior from him.I hope you will understand the situation and support my decision rather than run away from the situation like you did before.
Dadi nods in agreement.Abhi was about to shout at him when his dadi grabs his hand to stop him.
Prasanth:Your punishment is that your marriage will take place in ten days.
Pragya& Abhi:WHAT.
Pragya:What are you saying papa,without even listing to the entire matter,how could you make such a decision?I won't marry him papa.
Prasanth:Okay then you can leave this house right now, from now on their is no relationship between you and this family.You have time till tomorrow evening to make a decision and if your answer is no Pragya then you will leave this house since you're not my son I can't punish you.
Sarla:What are you saying,you can't make my daughter leave this house just like that.I am her mother and won't let this happen.
Her life is spinning out of her control she didn't know what to do.I can't live without my family they are my everything.How can papa even say that.
Prasanth:I hope you agree with my decision auntie?
Dadi:Yes I agree with your decision.
Abhi:What are you saying dadi.
Dadi:I am doing the right thing Abhi,I agree with your decision because I know that they are innocent and my grandson won't get a better life patner than Pragya(gently touches her cheek)and also because she won't be happy in a house where her own dad doubts her each and every actions,now we are going and Abhi will tell his decision tomorrow.
Rest of them leave for their room.Bulbul runs to her room crying.
Pragya:Hey why are you crying?
Bulbul:Uncle does not consider me as a family Pragya,I am feeling like stranger here and he don't love me Pragya.I am feeling as I am all alone Pragya.
Pragya:(control her tear)Don't you dare think something like that again,he was angry at me and he just took out his anger on you instead nothing else,anyways you're his daughter don't he even have the rights to become angry at you?How can you think that you are alone,As long as I am alive you will be never alone and you are my sister and will always remain the same,now stop crying ok.
Bulbul nods.Mean while Pragya adds sleeping pills in Bulbul's glass of milk.
Sarla:Pragya is right you know,It is good that you listened to her,If i was in her place then I would have(Pulls her ears)for even thinking like this.You're my daughter you idiot there is no difference between you,Purvi and Pragya to me do you understand.
Bulbul:Yes auntie,very well(rubbing her ears)
Pragya:Now leave all this drink this milk and sleep ok.Mom you too go and sleep don't worry she will sleep well I have given her sleeping tablet and I will talk to you in the morning.
Seeing that she is tired Sarla goes away from there,with a determination to knock some sense into her husbands head.
Abhi's House
Abhi:How can you make such a decision dadi, you where thinking about only my happiness. Dadi:She won't be happy in that house Abhi,till now no one has ever questioned my upbringing Abhi and for first time in my life Prasanth is questioning me and don't have any other choice that's why I made this decision.
Abhi:What about her dreams dadi she too must have some dreams about how her future husband should be like every girl and forcing her into this marriage is not right.
Dadi:You're right Abhi but what else can we do?
Abhi:But now is not the right time to talk about marriage, she would have died today if I was not there with her.
Dadi:What are you saying Abhi?
Abhi:I am telling you the truth dadi,some goons tried to kill her today luckly we escaped and I just hugged her to comfort her but uncle is not even ready to listen to us.
Dadi:There is no use in thinking about what has already happened Abhi,what we have to do right now is to find a is to find a solution to our problem.You have time till tomorrow evening Abhi will you be able to prove your innocence by then?
Abhi:How is that even possible dadi I need more time to capture the goons.

She was sitting in the balcony lost in her thoughts because of my one lie everyone is unhappy and also papa don't trust me anymore.What should I do to make everything alright again?How can I make him believe me again?I will go and tell mom everything she will make him understand like she always does.
Sarla's Room
She was about to knock Sarla room,when she heard them arguing.
Sarla:What happened to you why are behaving like this?do you even realise how much your words hurt Bulbul today,she don't have anyone else other than us and you made her feel like a stranger today and Pragya has informed me one the first day itself that she is sharing the room with Abhi and without knowing anything how can you make such a decision?
Prasanth:You know that they are sharing a room and you too were hiding the fact from me?You know what Sarla she is behaving like this because of you,I told you several times don't give her this much freedom she will misuse it one day,but did you listen to me no right.You want to fulfill her each and every wish even went against me to fulfill it,this is what happens when you don't listen to me.
Sarla:Please try to understand the situation, you have never behaved like this before then why are you doing this now?
Prasanth:Look Sarla you have always stood by your daughters side but today you have to choose one either your daughter or me.
She was shocked to here him speak like this, how could he say this?After few minutes of silence.
Sarla:Ok fine you want to know right which side I am,then listen I choose my daughter.I have once stood beside you against my daughters wish but that nearly destroyed my two daughters future but not this time,I wont let you force her into a relationship again and you don't worry tomorrow I will go to my house along with my daughter.
Prasanth:If you leave this house tomorrow along with your daughter then you will see my dead body. Its up to you now whether you want your daughters happiness or husband's life.
He storms out of the room,since the corridor was dark he didn't see Pragya standing there behind the door.
Sarla sits in ground crying,for what mistake are you punishing me like this god,I choose to stay away from him doesn't mean that I don't love him,I love him very much he is my life.How can I choose between his life and my daughters future?what should I do now?
Tears where silently falling down her cheeks,all this while I thought papa was overly concerned for my well being but no he don't even trust me a little bit.She grabs hold of the nearby table as her knees won't support her any longer.Hearing Sarla's broken sob from the room,Pragya get a hold of yourself you can't breakdown now mom needs you.After wiping her tears she goes to comfort her mom.Mom why are you crying?I know that you're worried about me,but I will make everything alright and if you're crying like this then I too will become weak and you want to see me like that?
Sarla:No my daughter is strong you can't become weak.
Pragya:Then stop crying,get up and sleep well.
After tucking her in the bed she nearly runs of to her room and closes the door.She collapses to the ground,while a single tear drops from her eyes,followed by another,then another one untill a steady stem of tears flow down her cheeks finally letting go of the pain which she had been holding back all this while,her eyes where finally dry she slowly gets up from the floor and goes to the balcony.
Pragya:(In her mind)All I wanted was,papa to love her like di but now I understood that whatever I do he won't love me like di nor will he trust her.Now stop thinking about this, you have to find a solution to this problem If i don't marry Abhi then everyone will be sad especially mom,but if I marry him everyone will be happy but what about him he don't deserve this he lied because of me and marriage is not a temporary thing it is for a lifetime will this destroy his happiness?I will do one thing after telling him my decision He can decide for himself what he want.From now on wards things will happen according my wish.
Abhi's House
Abhi:(In his mind)If I don't marry her then Dadi,Badi Ma will be sad and also her life is at risk here,but what about her wish?will she happy being married to me?I will wait for her reply and then decide what to do.
