I have recently started watching the show and as much as I am averse to watching Ekta shows, I could help but watch KumKum Bhagya, and got hooked to it because of two reasons. First is Shabbir Alhuwalia, because am a die hard fan since Kayamath days, and the second reason is that even though I knew what a fantastic actress Sriti is, I was sill pleasantly surprised at how sizzling the chemistry between Abhi & Pragya is from the first scene itself.
I was told that this show is based on Jane Austen's sense and sinsility, which is one of her greater works, and I'm looking forward too how they deal with the characters in the show keeping the brilliant literature in mind. Keeping in mind that this is after all a daily soap, I'm ready to go on the emotional roller coaster ride with the characters as the story develops.
Which brings me to the topic of my post, as to what this show is all about according to me and what I have learned with my experience of watching previous Ekta shows, and I must tell you I have watched quite a lot of them :)
This show, as the name states is all about DESTINY ! All of us at some point in our life or other, dream of what our life partner would be like, and we dream of falling in love and getting married, but we forget one thing that God usually have some other plans for us, and in the form of destiny we often end up with someone whom we never imagined we could have ever chosen for ourselves. And that is how the story of this show will take shape.
All the main characters, have their own liking and opinion about love and life partner, which is why all the main leads will end up with a partner who is the most opposite to them in every way, whic leads me to believe that the future Jodi's would be Abhi-Pragya, Suresh-Bulbul & Purab-Aaliya. Now let me explain why I think these Jodi's will happen.
Abhi & Pragya will end up together, because firstly they are one of the main leads, and even as far as the story goes, its quite obvious where they are headed. Also they are so opposite to each other in their thinking and beliefs, because Pragya is practical, whereas Abhi is a dreamer who knows how to fulfill his dreams. For Pragya relationships and emotions is everything and for Abhi money and his rock star status is everything.
Coming to Suresh & Bulbul as much as I hate to say it, they are most definitely going to end up together, because even if Purab & BulBal do fall in love, Purab is too loyal to Abhi to stand up for BulBul when the time comes, because as we all know and have guessed, Abhi has already selected Purab for Aaliya. Lot of people must be thinking that Suresh has now developed feelings for Prgya, but I can assure you, I don't feel that way, because his reason for choosing Pragya now is only for practical purposes. He is indebted to her for whatever she has done for him, and he doesn't want to let her down. Also he knows that BulBul will never feel the same way about him, the way he does about her, so for all purposes he is making the best of situation, and marrying Pragya for all the wrong reasons. As per the spoilers of today's segment, Pragya will say yes, because she will think that he might have start feeling for her too, but am sure as the time pass by, she will realize that he is marrying her out of debt and duty, not out of love, which just might push her into cancling the wedding or gettig married to Abhi.
Next is Purab & Aaliya, and as the actress herself said, she is the main negative lead, so she would be paired of with someone who might know what she is capable of but will not leave her at any cost, and only Purab and his loyalty for Abhi can make him stick with Aaaliya despite what she does. This pair, if it happens, reminds me of Neev and Ayesha from Shabbir's legendry show Kayamath, where Neev got married to Ayesha, for all the wrong reasons, even after knowing what she is capable of, but still tried to make their marriage work.
