That it does NOT drag...this is a simple story where two sisters will fall in love with men who are their opposites. It can work and become a delightfully fun show to watch, but if the show drags to the point there are so many twists and turns that we lose the essence of the show - as it has happened in so many shows I have seen - it will be painful to watch...I have lost interest in so many shows after 3-months. The shows have enough material to last 6-months, a year if they are lucky. I do not know why the writers simply cannot end them and do another show...
KKB is a cute show - I love Suresh, but tragically he will probably not end up with Pragya but Bulbul...

Not too much like Sense and Sensibility other than two sisters - one who is "sense" and the other "sensibility." Would have preferred that it kept closer to the book but that would be plagiarism if they failed to acknowledge it or obtain the necessary rights.

"Kumkum Bhagya" is my savior show. I actually am pretty much fed up w/a serial I have been watchin' & to top it off, I became crazy about it while watchin' it. So now I don't like it & I am crazy about it at the same time so to help get my mind off this serial I decided that maybe I should give another serial- a more new serial a try so I started watchin' "Kumkum Bhagya". I actually have never seen a serial on Zee that is good from beginning to the end. In fact, the only Zee serial that was good for most of the time it was on air was "Bhagonwali". Man, I was crazy about this show but ya the twists & turns that took place during he last few months of the show ruined the show 😭. I know how u are feelin' Laila. So far I am really liking the "Kumkum Bhagya". It's pretty much my type of Indian serial since it's not very serious, has good humor, & I am sucker for odd pairs. I think as long as we see what u described in this post & don't see icky things on the show like Bulbul turning into a vampy girl, one of the characters goin' to the mental asylum, plastic surgery etc & people being separated for a very long time- like being separated for like 20 years for example, this show should end up being an overall good show. I don't care too much about how long "Kumkum Bhagya" airs on TV although I don't want it to air less than year though. I ideally would like to see all 3 of these men- Suresh, Abhi, & Purab & the two sisters happily married w/kids at the end 😃.

Thank you for your post...my really good friend whom I met on IF loved the show you mentioned...so I know you must have pretty good taste 😊 I never saw the show myself but one day I hope too...like you she mentioned it went haywire in the end...

I like the show thus far, but I am not particularly fond of this male lead - and I do mean the actor who plays Suresh but the one plays the rock start...I do not know what it is with the current male leads - I just do not find their choices particularly appealing or believable to a male lead whom women would swoon after.

I agree with you about the comments you have made; these are so typical of EK dramas and rarely does she have two sisters as buddies - they always have some sort of conflict that lasts a life time and that too over some guy...rarely do we see her have two sisters who bond and work things out and do not argue over petty issues...So far these sisters get a long great...but that's probably not going to last. EK has not faith in breaking the mold and wants to make a profit so she sticks to what she knows best..

Jane Austin's works would be out of copyright and part of public domain. They wouldn't need rights, though an acknowledgement would be the basic thing to do.
