My city Mumbai is the City of Dreams. It is the commercial capital of India. It is certainly not amongst the most beautiful cities of India. It is not even a place where life is relaxed as most of the working crowd have to commute for more than four hours a day, yet Mumbai attracts people like no other city of India. It is the entertainment hub of the country too. It is the dream city to which people come from all parts of the country to fulfil their dreams and eke out a living.

The tourist spots are -
The Gateway of India
The Elephanta Caves
The Marine Drive
The Hanging Gardens
The Mahalaxmi Temple
Haji Ali
Juhu Beach
The National Park

The main attraction is certainly the vast expanse of the sea, the mouth watering vada paav and the roadside shopping which is easy on everyone's purse. This city never sleeps as the local transport is shut just for two hours in a day. Travelling is relatively safe. The crowd is cosmopolitan. The British architecture is more profoundly visible in South Mumbai.

On the negative side, the endless crowds and the terrible heat and humidity really saps one's energy. The monsoons are welcome but travelling becomes difficult with inundated roads and dirt everywhere.

But I really miss my hometown Bangalore - I miss the awesome weather it has throughout the year except for a few months. But it certainly has the best weather compared to all major cities in India. I miss the lip smacking street cuisine there and make it all up when I visit my family there. I always shop for my silk saris in Malleswaram - the place I grew up. It holds such fond memories. Hope to relocate to my dearest city in a year's time.

I have a lot of relatives in Udupi and Kundapur right till Marvanthe. My hubby is from the other side i.e. Bantwal. People find it very odd that I cannot speak Tulu as it is the local language there 😆
