Yes, actually he agreed in principle to an arranged marriage. This does not mean he will blindly marry any girl but definitely he accepted that his mother start looking for alliances. Fortunately or unfortunately the first one happens to be of Nidhi! 😆

Why did he have to agree for alliance with unknown girl when he loved Nidhi...he could have got in touch and done the things properly...was it once bitten twice shy ?

You said it... remember the promise he makes in the prologue? As far as he knows she will not come back, and he also knows he can convince her if he confessed. But he is not ready for that. As it is it's a month since she left and he has not done anything in terms of contacting her. He hoped to do that during Diwali, whether he would have? I think not!

So he feels its simply better for all of he agreed to an arranged marriage... only call it fate, the first alliance is that of Nidhi! 😆 Don't know how 'safe' that will be considering he silently loved her already! 😳
