Aazeen, Eid Mubarak to you! 😃
This is a very emotional OS, a tribute if you will to all the families of soldiers who protect the frontier lands. It is rightly said that its not only a soldier but his entire family that fights a war.

ITs a very well conceived OS. It is as if it has been written from a child's POV, the child of army parents. Its like they know the situation but do not have complete understanding of the complexities of politics, nations and war. And like every parent AShni also want to protect the innocence of their children by keeping them as far away from the truth as possible. But a missing father does bring home this truth faster than anything and anybody. The war comes to their door step in such cases. The sad truth is such children do end up growing up and maturing very fast, its innocence lost at a young age. Loved this unique OS. 👏

This is a compelling story and one that rarely reaches the headlines.Overall the depth and understanding of what it takes to fulfill the role of a soldier's wife or military spouse is often discredited or overlooked. Society has made the assumption that military families are well supported and that their households are equally sustained. Some of us may not realize that when a soldier is deployed on a dangerous mission, his family goes to "war," too. Mothers and fathers, wives, or sweethearts are left behind and the feelings of loneliness, helplessness and desperation can drive a person toward madness.

Ur story bring the reader into the inner circle, allowing us to experience the turmoil of a soldiers wife. The combination of work, school lack of sleep mix with feelings of utter helplessness. Screaming or crying in outraged defiance accomplishes nothing and few can really empathize with the mountainous pressures surrounding this woman.
Beautifully written Aazeen!!!

So good to know abt you Aazu ! And thanks so much for this warm welcome ! 😃
-- My pleasure Bhaiya...😃

I know the hardstones are made at border.. but our Ashu was unique... hard at the hospital... n soft as an the Army Officer.. ! 😛 Glad to knw that you are from an Army background. I really admire military personals from every field... Army is at its best though ! 😊😊
-- Yeah! Because if emotions start playing with them, they are surely gonna die, along with insecuring the country people...😊 So, they are forced to be... But unfortunately, that becomes their habit, and they become almost numb to the emotions of their families at times... But, I think, the story would have looked very painful then...
Well, I do carry a little background of Army, as my Dadaji was a retd. Major in army... But, my basic background is that of Doctors...😆

Nidhi... Well i loved the portrayal of this Nidhi as well... Here, she is not the chirpy n bubbly girl.. but a devoting mother n a loving wife, who is all alone, single handedly bringing up her home n children. She is a bit high in her heights.. as she has no one to listen to her pouted nose and no one to look in her eyes to say that you are tired... she is all alone on karwa chauth.. all alone during the Kargil news.. all alone again, when her father n family comes to meet her.. she is thoughful as always, she knows any scene can divert her kids' minds n heart to a sad n bad phase... i cherished this Nidhi in the same way i have cherished the doc Nidhi.. ! Here, she is more mature, more thoughtful, n her chlid like talks are far behind.. cos she has faced a reality ... a reality that she is with Ashu,.. but any time can be a part of her not being with him.. Such a like of Army wives. Anything happens, they are thru.. thru to a world to face n move on .. How fantastically you have put in this aspect of Ashni ! I am overwhelmed ! Ashni are n were together... and Nidhi has proved once again that she can fight with all the odds.. n she is doing it ! 👏⭐️
-- Very true Bhaiya... The Army wives are real brave I tell u... I need to tell 2 instances, how they are brave and emotionally stable...
Because, my grand mother used to be alone, she was very brave fighting out everything... Our parental house in Gwalior(The city, where my grand parents lived) was kind of a Haveli, it was kind of open house, that lady, even in her 80s age used to pick up a big danda with her, and would go about the entire house, even mid at night, if she suspected anything...
The another one was, when one of her baby died, when my grandfather was posted in some hilly area... There was hardly anyone, to help them with the final ceremonies of the baby, they had nothing as such to give as a Kafan, and she gave her Dupatta itself to my Dadaji, to take the baby and bury him... My Dadaji, alone buried the baby... That is how, they become so stiff...

Yes Aazu, i loved this OS.. had this been in the show.. i mean the emotional trauma at this par.. the show wud have broken all the paramounts... ! Take my word ! 👍🏼
Papa jaldi a jaanaa... ! Esteemed OS !
-- Oh My God! Thanx a lot Bhaiya.. It really means a lot to me...😃
