Part-3

It was a long and tiring day for Ashutosh...Dr.Ranga's absence had caused some confusion...the surgeries were very complicated...he had found small pieces of stone in the food offered by the hosp canteen...Dr.Aditi bore the brunt of his anger, she looked woebegone the whole day...There was only one remedy for his bad mood- a good dinner and some romance with Nidhi.

Ashu drove to CB's house. He was greeted warmly by DB...yet Nidhi wasn't around and his eyes searched for her. DB understood what Ashu was looking for and said "Anji aur Nidhi shopping gayi hai...abhi aati hi hongi"

The dynamic duo arrived at half past 9. By this time Ashu was really hungry...but he forgot all his hunger the moment he looked at Nidhi...her dress caught his attention...unfortunately for Nidhi it wasn't the right' kind of attention. Ashu was aghast and didn't hide his displeasure.

"Yeh kya pehen rakha hai tumne"

The dress was Ashu's worst nightmare come true. It had asymmetric cuts and an overdose of neon ( which Ashu hated ). It offended Ashu's sense of good taste. He was fine with her wearing modern clothes that showed some skin...but this dress was plain atrocious..though it covered her fully.

"Kyun ?kya karabi hai isme, accha toh hai"

"Accha? aur yeh? It looks as if it has been created by someone high on drugs...psychedelic"

"Yeh young generation ki pasand hai ...aapko samajh mein nahi aayega"

"Good taste and elegance doesn't change with generations... Dr. Lubna ko hi dekh lo...she belongs to your generation but dresses impeccably"

Nidhi's temper flared at the very mention of Dr. Lubna...she hated her snobbery...and the fact that Dr.Ashutosh appreciated her skills as a doctor...but this was too much...he appreciated her dressing sense in front of her!!!! ..

"Haan haan...Main Lubna se training le loongi...waise bhi mujhe kahan kuch aata hai..her field mein woh hi toh excel karti hai.."

"Nidhi, tum baat ka bathangad bana rahi ho...Agar Lubna ka style tumhe accha nahi lagta toh kisi aur se seekho...for example you can study Heena Rabbani's dressing style"

Nidhi had enough of it...this was way too humiliating...

"Nahin..mein na aage se Pratibha Patil ka style follow karoongi"

This argument went on till CS called them for dinner...Neither Ashu nor Nidhi spoke to each other...DB and CB silently observed them...CS tried to break the ice by asking Ashu ..'Daktar saab kal toh apki chutti hai na...lunch mein palak paneer bana doon"

"Nahin CS, mein kal dopeher kisi ke ghar ja raha hoon...unhone mujhe lunch ke liye invite kiya hai"

DB interjected - "Kiske ghar ja rahe ho daktar?"

Ashu looked at Nidhi and then replied " I am going to visit someone who doesn't misunderstand me"

Meanwhile in DD's house-

"Deepu beta kal tum ghar pe hi rehna"

"Kyun bade papa?"

DD smiled and said "Kal mein apne favourite student ko lunch pe bula raha hoon...he fits your criteria for an ideal husband"

"Phir se wohi purani baat? yeh kya he bade papa?"

"Nahi beta ..yeh ladka heera hai heera...mein bachpan se isse janata hoon...woh Dr.Mathur tumhe yaad hain?...wohi jo model colony mein rehte the...tumhare bua ke ghar ke paas...yeh unhi ka beta hai...he is a highly regarded doctor"

"Jab apne bula hi liya toh theek hai..parr agar mujhe woh pasand nahi aaya toh naraaz mat ho jayiyega ..."

"Nahi Deepu, mujhe yakeen hai ki woh tumhe zaroor pasand aayega...dekh lena...aur haan khane mein kuch accha vegetarian dish banana...usse shakahari khana pasand hai"
