Damad in demand
Dubey had joined KGH two days back and the only thing he liked about it so far was his favourite student Ashutosh's presence. Ashu was like a son he never had...He was the only doctor who was punctual, diligent and humble. The rest were only slightly different from an orangutan.
Dubey had remained a bachelor to fulfill his obligations towards his dead brother's family...he had almost done what he had to...he gave his brother's children good education, he got the elder daughter married...but the younger one was a tough bird. She had rejected many suitors for deficiency in character' or lack of depth'...whatever those words meant. His eagerness to get her married wasn't dampened by the deep love she showered on him...in fact it only intensified it...he wanted to find her a man with a sterling character...Deepti was already 32 and the task was becoming more urgent.
Dubey was immersed in these thoughts when he heard Ahana remark to Priyanka- "Dr.Ashutosh ko dekh kar mujhe whistle karne ka mann karta hai yaar...Unka yeh grey suit ...haaye...kaash mein uski jagah le pati"
DD was shaken from his thoughts and looked to his left- Dr.Ashutosh was walking briskly towards the general ward.
"I must do something for him too...Doctor MAthur may not be worried but I am...sooner or later one of these vain and frivolous girls will try to ensnare him...iske liye ek acchi ladki dekhni hai"
DD entered his cabin and pondered about the problems at hand...do do rishte karane hai...uphill task...both are in their 30s...she is 32 and he is 38...
Then suddenly the coin dropped...DD admonished himself...the solution to all his worries was right in front of him and yet he was blind to it...
Deepti ke liye Ashutosh se accha ladka nahin mil sakta...Ashu ke liye bhi deepti theek rahegi...dono serious kism ke hai...both are tall and of intellectual bent of mind...DD rubbed his hands in glee.
