When i first watched the promo of " Kuch toh log kahenge " on Tv back in September 2011, i got stucked to sony channel ! The promo with " Saiyyaan " n the actors performing with a sounded logo.. Pyaar ki aahat bhi, hichkichahat bhi.. i got myself glued to the promos n started waiting for 3rd oct. 2011 ! And the day came with a bang !!! It was 8 Pm.
Ashu outside a house, .. a background n intro was given. Nidhi, a chirpy bubbly asking Hanuman ji to fail her in her Mbbs.. ! Loved the last scene of the first day first show with the leads getting their cars accidentally meet on the road ! Then, a wait started for the next episode and then there was no looking back ! The Hospital background, the magical aura of Ashni, the other cast, the age gap of 18 years n an intern after fighting with a MD at road.. hiding herself from her time n again.. Can ever forget the scene when she crawled to hide from him.. This was the beginning of Ashni becoming a part of my routine. I never failed to watch the show.. A 45 minutes long show for 5 days per week ! Lovely couple, their awesome chemistry, a handsome hunk, A beautiful gorgeous, a landmark in the history of television.. ! The unique story, based in the locale of Lucknow, a different love story between two different ppl.. The connection of Baba's house was so magnetic that it made us watching the show on time, prime time !
There was no saas bahu tears, no fights or family dramas.. But a love at first fight.. ! The show has given us love, laughs, teasings, friendship, tears, pain, dreams, n above all Ashni ! They all did justice to the story.
The actors n their characters.. all were so great n we never found ourselves at the lonely roads. CV, Baba, Ashu, Nidhi, Dadibua, Hariman kaka, Chote sarkar, Solanki Uncle, Shyama Aunty, Anji, Rangu, Priyanka, Ahana, Mallika, n all others.. not to mention again that they all were par excellence ! Miss them all.. !
Thanks to Rajan Sir, for making this serial, a totally different from other serials. There is a void left when the show ended on 28th March, 2013. A day of sadness, n no tv for me. Longing to know when n how the season 2 will come back. A request to the Production house... Plzz give us our show back.,. its hard to live without. We watch previous episodes, we are here at this beautiful n wonderful Ktlk forum and make ourself feel with the show n Ashni all the time.. but still a feeling of sadness is there, that will go once the show comes back ! Hoping for the best n waiting is there every second.
Miss Ktlk , miss Ashni.. wish to have them back soon !

I do not know if a few words will be able to describe my feelings for the lovely show called Kuch Toh Log Kahenge - but have tried to pen down my thoughts all the same...

The different theme of the show and the cheerful and bubbly heroine is what hooked me on to Kuch toh log kahenge...I just fell in love with the concept and the unique love blossoming between Dr Ashu and Dr Nidhi - totally opposite to each other in all possible ways...The journey of Ashni's love - through happiness, despair, hurt, separation, reunion etc etc was something which entered into our lives and became a part of us...Not a single episode have I missed on this wonderful show. It had its ups and downs - but I could never think of not being with Ashni through out their journey...

KK was the main reason why I started watching the show and upon Sharad's enrty to the show - I was even more and totally hooked on...Kritika and Sharad were a PERFECT pair as Ashni and the magic that they have created - for me no other pair in any other show can ever beat them...Even now in any show I see - I imagine how the situation depicted would have looked on Ashni...The songs which were picturised on Ashni - the original picturisation do not come to my mind when I hear the songs - only Ashni moments appear before my eyes - such is the magic of KTLK. Even now the prelude to "Saiyan Naino Ki bhasha samjhe na" gives me goose bumps...

KTLK was one show where apart from the leads - almost all the other actors were as if made for their role. Be it the friends like Anji & Armaan, the ever smiling Dr Ranga, the solid support of a mother in Shyama Aunty , the loving Baba & Col Verma , the strict Dadi Bua or the comical Chhote Sarkar.

My only wish is that we get back the magic of Ashni in a new season and hopefully with a new love story which will again make a place in our minds and heart. Wish to see Sharad and Kritika back together on our TV screens. And I wish that once KTLK is back - the forum will again be lively and full of fun as it was when KTLK was on...

When I think of KTLK, a smile pops on my face. The promos and the beautiful title song picturization have captivated my mind and I eagerly waited for this show...
The light sprinkles of rain, Adrak wali chai... whenever I experience these two, I remember KTLK. These two have strong association with KTLK in my mind.
A very realistic hero, who is not a typical romantic hero from book, dear Ashu has captured all the fans minds... His each and every herat beat was felt by the viewers and every one of us have travelled along with him... I know, I have to mention his dearest Nidhi without whom AshNi is incomplete and even we fans are incomplete.
The sweet bubbly Nidhi, her antics and how and when she captured the heart of Ashu - a big surprise.
This show is breeze of refresh on Indian Television where otherwise you find more of Saas-Bahu dramas and kitchen politics.
Kudos to the entire team of KTLK and Sony channel for giving us such a remarkable show. Also we should remember Haseena Moin and Dhoop Kinare which has given foundation for this beautiful tale...

KTLK to me was like a breath of fresh air on Indian television. As a person who does not watch too many shows, I came across the promo of this show when I was channel surfing one day. I saw all the three promos and understood it was a show about doctors. And they also intrigued me because the promos reminded me of Dhoop Kinare which I had watched more than 20 years back.

Hence my journey with KTLK began which soon transformed into a love affair with the show. The title song is one of the most melodious, endearing, soulful and haunting, not to mention very original title song that I have heard in a long long time. And for the first few episodes it was oft repeated in the show. The man with a heart-wrenching past, shying away from personal human attachments and at the same time being irresistibly drawn towards a young intern, her bubbly, full-of-life antics, two opposing personalities experiencing one common emotion, love.

Devoid of the usual clutter of cast that inundates every show, this show had a few handpicked for the right amount of supporting cast. And the effect was splendid, so much so that till today we remember the driving instructor who came to teach Chote Sarkar or the receptionist at KGH, such was the impact. KGH became a place I visited every night and dreamed about every day. The love story drew the audience in so much that no one wanted them to fail, suddenly everyone became advocates of age-gap marriages, anyone creating a hurdle in their love was immediately booed out. I started waiting impatiently for snippets and news information about the show to determine some clues about how the track would proceed, especially if it was a tense situation.

Then a storm hit int he form of the lead change and lo and behold we got a new Dr. Ashutosh, and the character acquired many new layers. Unraveling all of them was a treat to our eyes and our senses, the couple became Ashni. And they started appearing every inch of a real married couple. The struggles they went through as newly-weds every couple could relate to and indeed I was lucky to witness this great journey.

What clicked for me was the subtle sophistication that the show strived to achieve. They managed to stick to their upper middle class routed up to the very end. The lead was a respectable surgeon and he looked every bit of it. The girl wore clothes that everyone would, nothing overdone, minimum jewelry, even a night dress at night, very little make-up, she looked every inch the working girl. There were a flood of songs used, each one so apt that the original cast on whom the song was picturized has been long forgotten and only Ashni come to mind when I hear these songs. All the supporting cast were tailor made for their roles, so much that I cannot imagine anyone else performing that role. Who can forget Nidhi and Ashu's first confrontation, or the time she looks for his keys, or the first time they get drenched or the first candle night 'chai' or the violin date or Kerala or that unique TV wedding or the Ashni dance at Ranji Sangeet or their first marriage anniversary, so many wonderful moments during this journey that will forever be etched in my memory.

Even though there were many problems in the last few months, there were a lot of 'wow' moments as well. This age gap concept is a very nice theme to explore and I for one feel it has great potential. I also feel Sharad Kelkar and Kritika Kamra have a lot more talent and potential that can be tapped. I, along with the rest of the fans of this show hope and pray that a Season 2 would soon start.

3rd October 2011 is certainly a red letter day in the lives of all Ashnians. I vividly remember this day coz in the morning as I was travelling by train to work - I heard two ladies discussing about this show and the leads. The posters displayed at every station only enhancing my desire to start watching KTLK from day one.

The show with its unique concept - the age gap angle, the medical background, the simple outlook, the mind blowing dialogues, the soulful lyrics, the subtle romance - bowled me over completely. There was just no looking back - phone calls were unattended, visitors were not at all welcome and pin drop silence was needed at the appointed hour. In fact I welcomed the change in the timing because I started watching the episodes on You Tube the next day evening after coming back from work - without any disturbance in the form of advertisements - the episodes used to rejuvenate me immediately after a tiring day. To this day a few of us still interact with each other on the last episode on You Tube and the comments there are close to 3K.

Though I was shocked with Mohnish Behl's exit, Sharad Kelkar truly captured our imagination with his own brand of charisma. SK and KK redefined the concept of passion with their astounding chemistry - taking along the viewers with them in their soulful romantic journey - the heart break and separation with its pain, pathos and poignancy. Ashu-Baba reunion, the acceptance of Ashni love, the wedding bliss - one of the most delightful tracks with its own inimitable style, the days after marriage - most testing times for their divine love but truth shining like the bright sun and Ashni coming victorious in the end.

The way the story was taken forward was truly commendable with the exception of a few tracks. The fabulous acting of its lead pair ably supported by all the other cast was certainly a dream come true for all the ardent fans. Missing them more than ever - the pain is unfathomable and summing this up with two lines -

Ashni's footprints on the sands of time no wave shall wash away
Coz they will reign in our hearts forever be it night or day.
