She kept her gaze on him... her gaze unblinking and he stared right back into her eyes. He moved almost in daze and in the space between a heartbeat his lips touched hers '.drowning, crushing her deep in his arm, clinging to him..She moaned as his lips took her lover lip biting, accessing her mouth...he drew back to drag fresh air and then once again he searched for her lips and she pulled him by collar and gave her lips back ' He kissed her like he can kiss her forever, like he had to kiss her forever 'like he need her to breath and when he opened his eyes and looked into her , he saw immense love for him like there is no end , he pulled her back once again and kissed softly on her forehead and murmured one last time 'I know you ..I know you Nidhi!

Nidhi drew away from him and waited for him to move away like he always do but this time instead of turning away, he cupped her face '." not everything 'but I know you 'I remember the night you drew me here in this rain 'I know 'I can remember '.Nidhi '.even if it's just glimpse of it...I can remember ..." and he hugged her and she took him into her arms'." Its good thing isn't it? '.even though not fully but still you remember...isn't it?"

Ashu nodded his head and took her hand and softly kissed her fingers, she drew her hand back from his grip and ran her fingers softly on his chest as if trying to hear his heartbeat, devour this moment '

" Do you think 'you think ' I might get those memories back .. 'I know medically its near to impossible but still do you think, can we hope ..."

Nidhi took his hand and enveloped around her waist '" yes, we can hope, we can get through this '.."

Ashu who is still not convinced looked away '." But what if, I don't get it 'get through this... What if?"

Nidhi smiled and turned his face towards her '." You will' as I told earlier, we will get through this together...if you don't get through it then I will stay with you in it '."

Ashuthosh smiled and whispered..." what I will do with you Nidhi '?"

Nidhi grinned "Nothing ...Just be with me 'forever '!"

Next day ,After attending his patients , he came back to his cabin to find nidhi waiting for him '.mere sight of her put a bright smile on his face" Nidhi '.!"

Nidhi stood with Lunch box '." I prepared lunch for both of us ! did you already had your lunch '?"

He shook his head ..." no , I was waiting for you to come !"

Nidhi" good, I prepared 'hare chane ki kadi with methi mutiya '"

Ashu grinned '.." you knew that I like it?"

Nidhi smiled " of course , I know ''I know all about you , what you like , what you don't like '.what makes you happy '.."

She stopped in between looking at his colorless face, it is then she understood what she just uttered ': I am sorry 'I dint mean that way !"

Ashuthosh looked away giving awkward smile "and I don't know anything about you '.don't remember anything ..! if that's what you are referring to !?"

Nidhi rushed to his side and took his hand '.: I am sorry '.I didn't mean that way!"

" Nidhi , it's not that 'it's not that I am not trying '.I am trying my best , what I should do if I don't remember anything '.is it necessary to hint at me each and every time '"

Nidhi looked at his face "every time! 'are you accusing me that I am having a laugh on your situation ...if you so hell bent on fighting with me, then be it ' you can have your lunch alone' I am done"

Night, Ashuthosh sat on his bed, placing his wedding album on his lap, looking at every picture...the moments which he lived 'the happiest moments of his life which he must have lived intensely but still he don't remember '.he can't even recall tiny bit of it ! , he sighed hard with total frustration'..suddenly his eyes caught sight of one picture of his and Nidhi, maybe it was just after marriage where he is looking at her from corner of his eyes, she looking down in shyness, her cheeks crimson red sensing his intense gaze, her eyes heavy with dreams of future 'hopes of promising future with the love of her life , his eyes sparkling with abundant happiness '.he felt, there was so much in that moment, so much one can't put in words..He traced his finger slowly and closed his eyes in desperate attempt to remember 'remember that moment and to feel that moment but to find strange kind of emptiness enveloping him, there are edges around those emptiness where sometime 'every now and then flashes of memories emerge linking him again to his lost past , filing his empty chest with memoires ..Which he cherished, lost and then again remembered!

He opened his eyes hearing nidhi's voice " I am sorry" , he gave awkward smile and nodded his head '.." are you still angry with me '?"

He shook his head ..." no, should I?"

Nidhi went and sat next to him '." I am sorry...I dint mean that way, it's just slipped out like that '.."

Ashu smiled "that's ok Nidhi, I know '.Even I shouldn't had behaved like that, it's just that '"

He fell silent, Nidhi took his hand ..." you can tell me '"

He gave faint smile '." its 'it's just..Sometime I feel difficult'to accept this, I am still trying...but sometime it just get me no matter how hard I try to shook of those emptiness 'I feel lost when I realize I can't do anything about it '"

Slowly she got up and kissed him on his forehead because she wanted him to know that there is hope 'even tiny bit of it but it's there. ..He grinned "well, I fought with you, it's a good sign!"

Nidhi looked at him confused "what do you mean? How can it be good sign '?"

Ashu smiled ..." well, I don't fight and get angry with strangers '!"

Nidhi smiled and sat next to him '." So tell me what are your likes, what you don't like? "

Nidhi 'you don't have to know all those things, its fine with me '

Ashuthosh '"Arey I want to know 'I want to know what my Nidhi like and what she don't like 'what if tomorrow I get to prepare lunch for my Nidhi , I should know something about her likes rite ?

Nidhi gave one of her huge grin when he said "my Nidhi" '." Well, if you are asking then '.let me tell you, I like burger with extra cheese, extra mayoneese, onions '"

Ashu laughed out loud looking at her expression ..." Ohh godd ..That's huge; I was expecting something made of karela '."

Nidhi pouted..." Godd 'you are so bad'I better go from here!"

And she got up from his side and tried to move away 'he took her hand and whispered "how about tomorrow I treat you with burger, extra cheese, and extra mayoneese with onions '..? Shall we go out again?"

Days passed, they went out couple of times, at first Nidhi felt it's too strange to go out on date just like they used to do before marriage 'but as days passed she started looking forwards to those evening which she get to spend with Ashuthosh '.she took him all those places, they used to go together, where they spent good time '.she took him to her baba's place when Ashuthosh asked her to take him 'DB and Cv welcomed him warmly and they could not stop smiling looking at how much he is clinging to Nidhi for each and everything '..After seeing them both together like that DB sighed in relief, even anjie did not spared Nidhi on that point '

Even though, the distance between them decreased with each passing day still Ashuthosh has not considered or spoken to take their relationship for next level...yes, it worried her and she desperately missed those days where she used to fall asleep in his arms with his delightful murmurs ringing in her ears, But she refrained from thinking all those things which might spoil something which they both carefully built so far '

Other hand Ashuthosh felt Each day his memory is coming back.. Each day, a rush of pieces, loosely connected, unimportant bits, They click, click, into his brain, like links being snapped together. And then they are done. They come out of nowhere, and most are not important. But still it came 'rushing to him, part of his lost life, connecting him to place where Nidhi said he lived ',but strangely after that night , how hard he may try but still he could not recollect anything about nidhi nor about the time they spent ,he tried hard late at night staring at those wedding pictures or else going out to those place where Nidhi took him 'he looked around ,wandering ..Gazing at every inch of it..Trying to recollect those moments 'sometime it irked him why does those moments matter to him so much, why can't he let go and move on like nothing happened 'but still he could not, the more he sensed there is no way he can get those memories back the more desperate he became 'In between all these, it was Nidhi who helped him , understood him and never expecting anything in return ..Sticked to him ' whenever he felt lost..She was there for him always making him feel better with her sweet gestures!

Thinking about all this, he came to nidhi's room; to find her sleeping peacefully 'he sat there and watched her sleep '! Looking at her face he could not stop bending forwards and placing warm kiss on her cheeks .Nidhi opened her eyes groggily when she felt his warm lips on her cheeks '.she opened her eyes to find him smiling at her , she got up and sat on her bed .." Good morning, how come you came here so early '?"

Ashuthosh ignored her comment '" Nidhi, you smile in your sleep '!"

Nidhi grinned ..." that's because I was dreaming about you '."

Ashu smile broadened" Do you know, it's so easy to love you Nidhi'."

Just then nidhi's cell phone buzzed, she picked it to find Dr Ranagnath from other end ..." Hello Dr Nidhi, inspector just called '.they found few suspects and they want Dr Ashuthosh to come recognize the person '."

Since Ashuthosh was sitting next to her, she got up and went out ..." Dr Ranagnath, how he will recognize '.when you know his situation?"

Dr Ranagnath sighed ..." I know, but inspector think, Dr Ashuthosh should come once to station, in case he might recognize ''!"

Ashuthosh and Nidhi reached station to find inspector waiting for them, "Dr Nidhi, I informed ranagnath '.there are few suspects and we need Dr Ashuthosh's help to recognize them '.."

Nidhi cut him in between ..." on what basis you suspected '? Did you found anything which is linking them to that incident "

Inspector laugh '" No 'noting like that ,we suspected based on their track history and we found details which giving us hints that they might be involved '

Nidhi turned towards Ashuthosh '." Are you fine...with all this? "

Ashu looked away and mumbled" yes '"

They were led to room where half dozen suspects stood; Ashuthosh clutched Nidhi's hand and moved towards them ...he looked into their eyes, he gazed on their face for minutes, trying to remember anything, trying to recognize The person, who did this to him, who robbed his life ' And after a while he turned towards police and muttered ..." No, I don't know..I don't remember "his voice came out like poison jabbed deep in his throat full of rage and helplessness ...that the person could be anyone from in this group but he is just could not able to recognize , this mere thought sent tremendous rage in him..He swirled in anger and like helpless caught in this fury, he felt himself dashed to rocks without mercy 'He felt suffocated and fuzzy in head, sweat broke on his forehead'and then he turned towards Nidhi and dragged her outside with him '..

Nidhi sat in his car , gazing at his grief stricken face '.there was so much in his face , it pained her , it made her helpless to see him like that ! After a while he stopped car in deserted road '." What is it Ashuthosh...tell me what is troubling you?"

Ashu laughed mockingly ..." what is troubling me! 'Nidhi 'everything, everything is troubling me ' the person might be one among those but I just let him go '.just because I could not recognize '"

She tried to take his hand; he pushed her hand away and got down 'Nidhi got down and rushed to his side '" Nidhi'How hard I try to remember, but I don't remember and then how hard I try to let go and move on but I can't do that also''I can't just let go because deep down I know what those memories mean to when I look at those pictures which are so real to you but for me it feel like it never happened to me ..I never lived those moments!..Tell what I should do?"

"Leave me Nidhi...this is going nowhere!"...Nidhi glared at him "you are asking me to leave you ,because you don't remember anything or because you don't love me 'if it's because you don't remember anything ...then that is the stupidest thing, I ever heard, Listen to me Ashuthosh 'I am not going to leave you no matter what '."

Ashuthosh screamed " so what I should do ..yes I love you , I want you to be with you as much you want to be with me '.what I should do if I don't recall marrying you'.Should I marry you again ?"

Nidhi started at him and Ashuthosh looked back '" what?"

Even in that situation a small smile crept up on her lips '" Well that was not bad idea '.."

Ashuthosh looked at her ..." what idea? '..you mean...Marrying you again?"

Nidhi smiled, Ashuthosh whose face was cfull of fury , rage helplessness suddenly replace with huge grin ..Instantly he came to her side " so will you '..?"

Nidhi took her hand back'" do you want marry me because you don't remember or because you love me '?"

Ashu spanked his head'." Now this is the stupidest thing I ever heard ''of course I want to marry you because I love you 'I want to live those moments, which I can recall all my life 'that I fell in love with my Nidhi and then we got married ' I don't want those memories 'most special one to be just pictures in album which I can open late at night to remember '.I want them to live, register in my brain, I my heart till I don't forget "

Nidhi blushed '.." so when are you coming to my baba's place asking for my hand '..Hmm?"

Ashuthosh grinned ..."immediately '.. '" and he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her slowly, tenderly, passionately..Nidhi sighed loosing in his kiss , drowning in him '. She smiled as she heard him groan when she drew away to fill her chest with fresh air...Instantly he took her lips again, with full force clutching her tight , pulling her in his arm ..And then when she drew away, he murmured in her ear ..." I want to kiss you again "

She blushed and looked at him ..." why?"
