For some time now, I have been wanting to make this post. I refrained from doing so because I would be accused of bashing. That is not my intention at all.
I am not a fan of any actor, I see them as characters and that is that, I don't care who they are, what they do and so on, all I care about is whether they do justice to the character given to them. I do not accord any importance to them beyond that. Their personal lives and their careers are their problem. It is for them to handle. I am only interested in a story being told well.
Coming to this show, what has happened is sad. We, the fans of this show, had the pleasure of witnessing a most unique way of narrating a love story - in split frames and using body doubles. The unique experiment came to an end with actor replacement. Although there was no official reason, the sudden disappearance of split frames and body doubles told a story of their own.
Now, we have a unique track where the female lead's maternity is being explored through a third party, since the actor refuses to be pregnant on the show. This is no conjecture since the writer of the show has stated it categorically on his page. The makers wanted a baby track but had to abort it as the actor was not willing to co-operate. They have now reached an impasse and are unable to come up with anything but random tracks to fill time.
I still don't care about the actors. They are not my headache. All I want to know is why I, a viewer, am being taken for granted. While actors and their rights are being justified, why am I, a lover of this show, being victimised for no fault of mine. Is it because they do not give a damn for me and my love? Or is it because they are so confident of my loyalty that they have started taking me for granted.
Have already shared my angst on the writer's wall. I could not refrain from sharing my thoughts here too. I repeat that I am not out to bash anyone. However, if any sensibilities are hurt or any rules broken, I apologise in advance.
I love KTLK...and Ashutosh and Nidhi...all others are of no significance to me!
