"yeh kya hai Ashu" Baba confronted Ashu the moment he stepped inside the house.
Ashu looked bewildered"kya Baba? Yeh kya hai?Kiski photos?"
Ashu turned pale when he saw the pictures. They were of Nidhi and him in a compromising position.
"Yeh ho hi nahi sakta hai. Kahan se aaye yeh photographs"
"Woh sab janne ki zaroorat nahi hai Ashu, maine sapno mein bhi nahi socha tha ki tum Nidhi ke saath aise pesh aaoge"
"Nahi Baba, Maine Nidhi ko toh kabhi galat nazar se dekha bhi nahi hai, yeh sab fake hai"
"Haan ,haan sab nakli hai na. Toh phir Nidhi kyun kal raath se shocked dikh rahi hai?why does she look devastated. CV received a similar set of pictures, he hasn't confronted Nidhi yet as she has been crying non stop from yesterday"
"What ? I want to talk to her, where is she? Is some one blackmailing her with these fake pics"
"Ashu, maine tumhe apne bete ki tarah hi dekha hai, main hamesha yeh samajtha tha ki tum aik zimmedar insaan ho, ek bacchi ki zindagi kyun bighad rahe ho? Kaafi badnami ho chuki hai par abhi bhi kuch nahi bighda, tum usse shadi kar lo"
"Baba, mera yakeen maniye, I have never had any bad feelings towards Nidhi. Let us meet her and discuss."
---Ashu and Baba leave for Nidhi's home---
Ashu ignores the elders and calls out Nidhi's name but gets no response from her. DB holds Ashu's arm and says.
"Daaktar, woh kya kahegi bechari, ab itna sab hone ke baad woh kaise aakar hamse nazar milayegi?"
"DB, yeh aap kya keh rahi hai? Aap usse poochiye toh sahi?"
Nidhi enters the scene-
Ashu says"Nidhi, why are you crying, what happened? is anyone threatening you?"
"Nahi toh. I cried a little because I fell down yesterday and I am in pain"
Ashu looks at DB "Tum toh pyar mein pagal ho gayi ho meri bacchi. Tum Ashu ko bachane ke liye itna sab jooth kyun bol rahi ho? hame sab patha chal gaya hai" saying this she hands over the pics to Nidhi,
Niidhi gets shocked...she couldn't even cry out...after a few seconds of silence, she screamed out "Yeh jooth hai papa, maine aisa koi kaam nahi kiya hai"
Ashu says- "This is what I have been telling you guys all this while, it is a conspiracy to cast aspersions on us. I will report this"
All the elders stopped him and said "Police ko involve karne se badnami hogi, baath aur bigad sakti hai, we will resolve it ourselves"
Ashu was about to reply when his phone rang. It was Mallika...He received the call and walked towards a corner.
It was from her that he got to know that a few objectionable clips of Ashu and Nidhi have gone viral...She had called for an explanation...Mallika was distraught by the perceived betrayal and Ashu had to put in a lot of efforts to pacify her.
The family overheard Ashu pleading innocence...So Ashu had feelings for Mallika...They felt betrayed all over again. Ashu said- Mein chalta hoon...I will report all this and more" He drove away before anybody could stop him.
Nidhi stopped going to hospital due to scandal. The whole family gave up hopes of Ashu marrying Nidhi, their sole concern was to cleanse Nidhi's name .
The police investigation was completed and the culprit was caught- Ashu and MAllika were shocked when the identity of the criminal was revealed to them. The man was their former classmate Jagan.
They didn't hold a high opinion of Jagan but such an act and that too after so many years of college was seemingly unjustified. The truth was that Jagan was morbidly jealous of Ashu's success. Ashu was a top surgeon whereas Jagan failed to complete MBBS due to his obsession with Mallika. He believed that Ashu stood in his way of attaining Mallika, he snatched her away from him...the plan was to circulate morphed images of Ashu and tarnish his reputation, this would also serve the purpose of planting a seed of doubt and mistrust in Mallika's mind. Nidhi became the unwitting victim because Jagan saw her crying due to heartbreak..he was stalking Mallika and noticed Nidhi doing the same. He added two and two together and deduced that she liked Ashu...using her image along with Ashu's would give the pics greater "credibility" and convince Mallika. He had no qualms about ruining Nidhi's image because of the mistaken belief that it would benefit her too...she could marry Ashu once Mallika was out of their way.
The truth was revealed to the world. Ashu salvaged his image and his relationship with Mallika became stronger than ever. Mallika had made a vow to visit Vaishno devi temple if the photo fiasco ended, now that it was all over,she left to fulfill her end of the promise. Nidhi steeled herself and decided to go back to hospital so that she can complete her internship and move on with her life...but will tongues stop wagging?
