Amar is flirting with Dr.Nidhi. Isn't it natural for her husband Dr.Ashutosh to get peeved?
Obviously Dr.Ashutosh will get jealous of Amar. Amar's aim is after all to make him jealous.

The cat is out of the bag. He is gonna be a harmless flirt. It all depends on the audience. If they like his character then he is here to stay longer.

I think what dheeraj meant is he feels that amar's character was brought in to make ashu jealous. Characters change based on the audience's reaction. So he may have come as a distraction but could turn out more.
