Okay, so we all know that AShutosh is experiencing fatherhood vicariously through Mallika and her child. It is an outlet for his emotions and supressed desires. He is doing it subconsciously and hence there is no guilt in him.Also because this is not the sole reason why he is doing it but only a small part of it. Ans. would be YES if she wishes to come back to Ashu keeping her marriage ahead of anything (including her self respect). This YES, IMO, will be completely against her will but will she hv a choice then? As far as this Mallika chapter is concerned, Nidhi is already suffering her choice to marry the complex, layered and totally intransigent personality w.r.t. Mallika -- Dr. Ashotosh -- who cant let go off Mallika, under any alibi: be it 12 saal purani dost or insaniyat or may be some other reason in future. The tough way, but, Nidhi will hv to accept the fact that if she wants to be with Ashu, she will hv to bear with his special inclination to Mallika. (And, I guess, she is well aware of this fact, but, she isnt fine with it; is trying her best to raise her voice against it; hv once again failed in it and due to that is deeply hurt and hence the decision of leaving marital home - in fact denying to leave with hubby Ashu under 1 roof. She cant avoid her boss Dr. Ashutosh - its not the available option at the moment, o.w. she might hv chosen that too.)
Ans. is a big NO if she wants to hold unto her feminine dignity & self-respect. She hasnt committed a crime in postponing motherhood just by 2yr.s. This is a great decision and perfectly reasonable. Also, acco. to Nidhi, this is their jointly taken decision. And even if Ashu has only half-heartedly consented for it; he hasnt clearly made her aware of his fatherhood pangs and insecurity. So, it's not her fault anywhere. I mean, like every married woman, first, she has taken care of not advancing her career against hubby's will & then she rejoices in her internship with due consent of her hubby. So, obviously, it would be hard to digest for her that the same hubby is caring for Mallu & her child to fulfil his paternal instinct.
