ek hi track kitne baar doharayenge yaar...its got nothing to do with career...at least not the extent that it will effect the TRPs...it always comes back to Mallika in one form or the other...the week after the bday party news was already out that Mallika is going to come back...there was an article the day after the bday party...

I dont know how many would start / stop watching for a particular track... but how it is shown is important... Last time, Mallika's drama might have generated some interest...but, her track was stretched to an extent, people started using "mallika" as a swear word..

They are doing same with Nidhi's hospital track too... Very silly to find an intern is busy beyond limits and she doesnt have time for her hubby... that hubby himself though a chief surgeon, always either sulks for a baby or waiting for his wife , now a hands-on porter to his friend's needs... This kind of scenes are not at all palatable to any genre of audience... Right now, Mallika too is not doing anything ( completely negative or positive)...

Barring the spikes ( TRP --1.6), Most of the time TRP was stable at (1.1 - 1.2) and now it is in a decline trend... If the tracks are redeemed first, then we may expect a gradual uptrend

BTW, congrats to Sujatha & Waves on turning "Blue-eyed babies"

Ashu helping Nidhi, cabin romance, both working, both busy but snaching time for their romance, seminer, field trip together. To sum up it will work with people if it is shown Ashu as Nidhi's guide to future successful doctor. If we go with actual time frame we can see 10wks are shown as 8wks. So, we can figure out how slow it is. {Mallu pregnancy}. Who want to see Mallu preggy? People want to see Nidhi preggy or Nidhi doctor or mostly Nidhi working with pregnancy. Who want see the lead character with such wonderful personality always doing stupid , brainless, heartless things in name of friendship. Career with romantic tadka is needed , meeting people as hubby-wifey and doc-intern is needed. And new young docs are needed to introduce. Now Rangu also lost his charm as rangeela doc. No Armaan, no Rohan only stale faced Mallu in bechari mummy avtar , actually I myself stop watching this at 11pm rather see online after reading the update next day. The serial need to be fast paced as it was in the beginning. NO MALLU.

I don't think they have the budgets to show the kind of professional track that would generate interest. Even the hospital scenes are getting boring now. All we see is Nidhi and Janaki Bai in discussion with a patient chart. And what I wrote as a fun post has now become a reality in the show. Every doctor wants Nidhi as a scrub. I think this is stretching credulity to the limits. And Nidhi's continued borderline negligence of her husband is making no sense, The idea is to balance career and home. Not to have one at the cost of the other. This is not coming across.

If women are the audience, then they want to either see themselves as the oppressed or the oppressors. They want to be seen as sacrificing. They want to be glorified. The protagonist cannot be perceived as placing self-interest ahead of the family. What is reality is a different story. Even the show's loyal audience wants to see the love story at the end of the day. Even the modern career woman would still like to see her TV counterpart balancing home and family. It helps to assuage any guilt that she may have and prove to the world that women can have the best of both worlds. They do not want to be perceived as selfish in any way. A show and its characters should have some aspirational value. All of us aspire to have everything. Giving up one for the other is not something any of us would aspire for.


Mallika is the show's greatest weakness currently. From day one, all we have seen is Mallika in scheming avatar, Mallika in dukhi avatar, Mallika in lunatic avatar and now Mallika in Mummy avatar. No offence meant to Rukshar but watching Mallika is getting really tiring.

This story needs to move ahead, New characters have to come in. A short leap is a necessity in my opinion. There is a lot of drama that can still be generated keeping Ashutosh and Nidhi at the centre. Why does Mallika have to twist the tale everytime? The baby track was a good one. They could have built on conflict over there alongside professional issues. The hospital drama is simply not gripping enough currently. They could have built the drama to some kind of a crisis point before resolution. Instead we have Mallika coming in again and the focus is lost.

This show still has far to go. If only they would let it!

I was waiting for your say only, so nicely you have explained what the viewers want and how the show makers are failing in impressing the viewers. No offenses to any of the actors: they are all brilliant, but, the story-line has become weak and somewhat stupid. You have outlined all those stupidities, so not repeating. And it is a beautiful story with so much potential content but there are so many loose ends which need be fixed first. Charity begins with Mallika - redeemed or not - nobody wants see her in KTLK; they should rather bring back Rohan and if they need some drama part, then they should make Ashu feel insecure with RoNi duo; that will again bring this show close to reality. In real world, in age-gap marriages, the Men feels insecure for beautiful young wife, not the wife keeps trying to save her marriage from Sautan. Here we see ulti ganga - Mallu, Nidhi and now Maxi - all women who meets Ashu, falls in love with him and poor Nidhi keeps praying Kisi Ki Nazar Na Lage, Hum apni Zindagi shanti se jiye.

Voted for NO. Bringing back Mallika may be the reason. Previous track with Mallika is a bitter memory. This show is about love . With M is is distorted . Asutosh is the backbone of this story. His character goes awry if M is present. I feel it does not go well with the audience, Few are ready to watch this torture in the 11pm slot. However we try to be immune it affects our peace of mind. Yesterday's episode is a classic example. A is again in friendly terms in the name of humanity. The same crap again this time still more worse.Career track creating MU between the couple( Not Abimaan but nidhi's over enthu) would have been better.
