A lot has been said about Nidhi wanting to find her footing in her career and she asking for 2 years. Though I feel sorry for Ashu and am one of the many women who juggled work and home I would like to look at this complete issue slightly differently.

In case she opts for pregnancy, god forbid if there are complications she would have to take a break and will not be able to complete her internship.

Her father has lost his business, she lost her property, has no money of her own, and her husband nearly threw her out of her house for his friend while reminding her that it was his house and his money.

Which self respecting girl wouldn't want to be financially independent.

If I were in her place, i would also look at my financial security first before leading my chin and I don't think that is selfish.. Only if i can provide for myslef can I provide for my children.

We have seen Ashu prioritize Mallu over Nidhi. Would you trust such a husband that yet have the confidence that he wouldn't do this again.. Accept it.. now with "Mallu Returns" aren't we all apprehensive that he will pay more attention to Mallu and her child and less to Nidhi.

And in case something like this happened what would Nidhi be able to do then.
What would you rather be... a homemaker with no identity a doormat waiting on her husband and his friend or prepare yourself for eventualities...

Brings me back to the question... has Nidhi really forgiven Ashu for the way he treated her during the 1st Mallu track? She may not show it.. but it would definitely be a factor

Yes it is depressing to see Ashu sulk.I don't want him to come close to bhootni pregnant or not... I really didn't think I would see the two of them in the same frame so soon... 😭

A really excellent analysis of current track and really good defense of Nidhi.
I also would like to think that there has to be some resentment from her side for his insensitive treatment of her. And i dont think any self respecting educated girl like Nidhi could overlook the fact that twice she was told to leave the house. although the first time he stopped her. but second time he did not and even said good riddance and that her leaving would bring peace into the house. she had to beg, literally, to regain entrance back into her own house. I cant even imagine doing something so humiliating. And as a woman, wife and mother, I can only imagine what it must have cost her to do this. What a huge blow to the self esteem. Yet ashutosh seems to have brushed it all off. One sorry and all his tresspasses were forgiven.
Ihope kpji can give us an episode where there is a monolog from nidhi to ashu telling him this. letting him see that it is not her, but him, that has caused such strong feeling of being a career woman in her.
until he sees and hears first hand the extent of emotional damage he has caused, he will never change. He has always been forgiven too easily, therefore he forgets just as easily.
it is always easy to lay blame at anothers feet, but its just as difficult to own up to ones mistakes.
I feel that even though much younger than ashu, at times when it has really counted Nidhi has behaved with much more maturity.

If all these were the reasons for Nidhi to put the baby on hold, I would applaud her,...but there is nothing in the show that leads me to believe that this is how she thinks...

So a spirited defence...if only the concerned party had put in half as much effort as her defence counsel, this case may have well gone completely in her favour!

Quote @ Fanktlk.

If these are the reasons for her identity crisis I would blindly support her. Strangely not even for once she was interested to know why her husband behaved with her the way he did. She was ready to drool over him once he offered a curt apology. If you remember she went to the hospital only when she missed him. After seeing her batch mates she suddenly woke up to the reality and it was an immediate reaction to join internship After marriage never uttered a word about career. To Shyama she was giving all silly reasons but did not talk about financial insecurity. So far Nidhi does not seem to have this self esteem thing. In future Kp may make her say this to strengthen her case.A woman may forgive a husband but only after pointing out his faults. Nidhi is a mahaan. She did'nt want an explanation but also said thanks to Mallu we know about our love. for each other. I still wonder where did she find Ashu' s love in Mallu's saga

very nice analysis 😊

But the problem was, Nidhi never showed her seriousness...always she took everything like a game..except for her love and marriage...

So how long this idea of career entertains her, nobody knows...

THANK U ... THANK U ... THANK U ... ❤️

God bless u for understanding the RIGHT OF A WOMAN to be INDEPENDENT ... to have an IDENTITY of her OWN and not just as someones MISSUS n MOTHER n DAUGHTER

Its long ingrained in our mindset .. as very aptly pointed out by Shyama...! We see that so prevalent in our society... its the WOMAN who is expected to compromise more... than anyone else in a situation... ... !!
