One thing stuck my mind...As we mature our thinking process, Maturity also changes...

Nidhi is a 24-25 yrs Gal-Her priority is career not baby...

If she was 29-30...even not established in her career..she would have chosen Motherhood over Career...I think..Its true...

Opinion please...

True to a certain extent, Divya...but it depends more on the individual...my daughter has a friend who got married last year...she is a bit older than her classmates for whatever reason...I think she is about twenty one...and she has gone ahead and had a child this year...so, if you are a career-minded person, you might choose a career...but if you are not inclined towards that, you might end up starting a family..! Of course, family situation and financial circumstances have a great role to play here..in some cases, people choose not to have children immediately because they can't afford it...they prefer to work for a bit, save some money and then think of a child...so, I guess it is a combination of factors that go to influencing this decision...

Of course there are the DINKs...the double income no kid couples...where both partners are working and they have simply decided not to have a child!

Rabzie, good question but difficult to generalize. There are many youngs girls opting for matrimony and motherhood, while older women not ready to take the plunge.

Priorities definitely change. However we are missing one main point. Our peers influence us a lot when it comes to these things. At the age of 24-25 people generally talk about travelling, exploring learning and growing. Around the age of 30 priorities change to Settling down, experiencing bigger and complex things like motherhood and responsibilities. So, a girl moves from not wanting child to yearning for them looking at her friends and cousins.

Priorities change with individuals.2 of my doctor friends finished their PG,got married / gave a break., had children and resumed their career. I feel age alone is not a deciding factor.
