@Mudra:
I have to agree with Sun yaar.. KPji has been blinded by her mallu love.. tht is for sure..
c i m no gud writer and certainly not a grt writer like him.. and this is my first ever attempt at FF..still in my FF i came out with some logical and dignified explanation of Ashu-Mallu 12-yr old fship..bt here he is jst going overboard and dishing out stuff tht is highy undigestible..
I luv hatke stuff.. thts y i started watching KTKL bt KTLK has been a huge disappointment.. esp with Mallu's character.. she cud've been presented as a beautiful gray character.. bt she has turned out to b one typical kekta vamp.. Ashu is not wrong in honoring his f'ship.. bt how can an educated and so called wise man b so foolish,,. dumb.. mute.. and blind.. like those saas-bahu serial male protagonists..
really like Sujatha says.. he has given a new and extreme dimension to those saas-bahu type characters with thr basic crap characteristics remaining same.. and instead of accepting his mistakes he is dissing out on loyal KTLK viewrs in arrogance!

@achiever ..agreed mallika could have been a class character and grey very human if the writer had handled her with some semblance of sanity...he went overboard with her pushing her over dark pit into pure evil turning a mature understanding friend of 12 years into the typical vamp..i really liked and empathized with the mallika of first 50 episodes...u cld feel her pain ,felt bad for ehr rejection and inspite of it being her choice sympathized with her long wait

@sujatha ...exactly saathiya is showing the same stuff the ex vs the wife ...hence why wait till 11 on sony when u get a masala wala dose on SP in the evening

Offlate I am wondering what is the 'hatke' stuff in KTLK... It has just stooped down like any saas- bahu serials... As according to the age difference, Nidhi should be acting childish and I expected Dr.A to be matured... But here it is reverse... a 42 year acting so childish that for all his personal requirements he needs his wife, but otherwise Dr.Nidhi is just a doll in his hands...What is KP trying to prove?? Age is just a number... n it is nothing else... In this context, yes KTLK is hatke..

Also, I think we viewers are fed up of ranting out on Nidhi's joblessness... Offlate, I am watching the show to assess how far KP and CV's can betray the viewers... to what extent he will show his illogical stuff... Thank god I am now out of my emotional bond with KTLK. Even if i miss, the IF Forums and internet help me to decide whether it is worth watching the episodes...

Mallu is gonna cook for him..
tend him..
and even feed him..
bt KPji went a step ahead in torturing us.. he made Ashu tend to her instead! such a soulmate bhakt i tell u!
and on the top, he puts Ashu on tht high pedestal tht is normally occupied by those mahaan shareef.. ussool ke pakke.. vadoon ke mahaaan.. insaan who can sacrifice their own blood to keep one's word! .. uh uh uh!
I do sakshat dandwat pranam to KPji and offer 101 rupay ki dakshina.. and punch on option one!😃

i wish he could be like ashu in ur ff. how he show love toward niddhi full of expressions😆

@sun @achiever @sujata

I agree to every point that you have mentioned ( and sorry, off late I dont have TV or video watch access so, no idea about what is happening in the other shows)

and Achiever, I like your FF the most and in one or two posts of mine, I have quoted you (with proper reference of course😊) and this current KTLK is nowhere nearer to it.
I too hate the character butchering part... Ashutosh acting nonsense over the chai ka issue, shouting on an elderly female, typical male chauvinistic answers to his wife...

my point is, about our expectations from these characters.

Mallika is evil and no doubt about it and whether classy evil or not thats a different issue...

But, on what basis we have assumed that she is faking this trauma ? most of our reactions are based on this assumption... and this assumption was based on the kekta concept of vamp that was greatly etched into us. Why we are unable to pause for a while and think from Mallika's side?

Ashutosh made it very clear from the beginning, that he had no intentions to marry Mallika ...

and now, when it is a real necessary to look after Mallika, why we are unable to appreciate his efforts as he is doing as a sibling or a good friend? Isnt it his responsibility to look after her, especially when no one is there for her?
Ashutosh has no conflict between the wife's place and Mallika's place in his life..Still why we are not accepting that demarcation?

Normal show's male characters are totally spineless... marry two / three times shamelessly and they are happy about it...whom we hate to the core...But...but...arent we attaching Ashutosh with the same characteristics whenever he is coming nearer to Mallika? ( what instigating us to think that way??)

At the same time I agree, that this brotherly care is exceeding its screen space limits and no good to sit till late night and watch any way...

Mudra, I think the issue here is not so much skewed audience perception on account of exposure to Kekta...Mallika, even in her sane avataar, was dangerously obsessed with Ashutosh...now that she is mentally unhinged, whether real or fake, the obsession has started manifesting itself in excessive physical gestures too...given their past history, I don't think even Ashutosh can claim to have a fraternal relationship with Mallika...he knows only too well how obsessed she has been with him...his fault lies in the fact that he did not make too much of an effort to put an end to it...of course, you cannot take the blame of another's actions...but here Ashutosh is a dear friend...and he knows all about Mallika's OCD...so the responsibility to do something strong to put an end to it did lie wtih him...I think he failed there for sure...in their present situation again, while he is justified in wanting to take on the responsibility of her care and cure, given their history, he could very easily and gently ensure that there is a certain space maintained...even if he is not aware of this, Nidhi has pointed out Mallika's clinginess to him and indicated that it disturbs her...after this, Ashutosh not even making an effort to change things implies wanton disregard of Nidhi's feelings...will Ashutosh maintaining a reasonable physical distance or appointing someone else to take care of Mallika's personal needs seriously impair her mental health?...I mean does her well-being rest on Ashutosh plaiting her hair...to me, Ashutosh is only fanning the flames of Mallika's obsession with his behaviour...KPji is certainly carrying things too far here...there is a lakshman rekha to every relationship...I think the reason for all this is that beneath our veneer of civilization, we are flesh and blood creatures with strong primal instincts...what is KPji trying to prove by his disregard for all of this...?

While Ashutosh does not experience any conflict in his mind about Nidhi's place vis a vis Mallika in his life, is his current behaviour not serving to fudge that demarcation in Mallika's mind?...does not his behaviour encourage her to believe that his concern for her well-being far exceeds his concern for Nidhi's emotional well-being...if Nidhi were to be hurt physically as well in the process, Mallika alone is not her culprit,...I believe that Ashutosh should take equal blame for it!

I think we both are giving similar explanations in two different tones...

Yes.. Ashutosh too should take the blame for his actions from the beginning... I always against him for that...But now at the moment, I am supporting him ( upto yesterday only...not over doing that combing hair etc... doing same things again and agin till it is etched deep into our bones is a regular phenomenon with KTLK), because she is not an equal to fight...

The issue I pointed out here was, changing the general impression of the viewers...from the regular soap operas that we have on the block...if it wasnt, we wouldnt have discussed this long.. I am sure, you will agree to that... (Even in those days, when I had a complete access to TV also, I never watched any)...The general impression on a male character and the regular vamp / villain... here the villain is an obsessive lover yet she has her own valid reasons to do so to an extent... a sophisticated and well educated and otherwise decent..
