Ashu insensitive due to age gap?

Pls dont get me wrong but I was thinking of Ashu's behaviour towards Nidhi since the entry of Mallika.

Ashni are recently married and in such situation usually couples will be inseparable and try to spend as much time as possible with their spouse.
But Ashu has been spending nights nursing Mallu and seems to be immune to Nidhi's feelings...

When they are alone Ashu acts romantic and looks pleased to be with Nidhi but the moment Mallika enters the scene he just seems to forget everything.

Has this anything to do with Ashu getting married at a middle age or staying alone all these yrs that has made him weak in maintaining and prioritizing any relation ?

Being fellow age Rohan could easily guess what Nidhi wanted or going thru and was always there for her but here Ashu seems to be more involved in Mallika's welfare than Nidhi's feelings.

Is Ashu proving to be a bad husband???

I would think to the contrary. An older husband would tend to pamper and obsess over his pretty young wife far more then a man of the same age. Insecurity also comes into play here. But yes, possibly the fact that he is older is reason why he is able to look beyond himself and his happiness. He is aware of a world outside of his own and is sensitive to the needs of others, even if it might be to the detriment of his own at times.

Thanks 😊...I think of it like this...sometimes you take your own a bit for granted...to him, Nidhi is a part of himself and somebody who understands him better then he himself does...he is completely secure in that feeling and does not for a moment think that his wife may doubt him or question his motives...also, despite his indulging Nidhi's childlike innocence at times, Ashutosh believes that Nidhi is mature far beyond her years when it comes to things that matter...possibly reason why he feels secure enough to take his wife for granted at times...Mallika however is mentally unstable at the moment or atleast that is what he believes...and possibly he blames himself to an extent for her condition...under the circusmtances, even if it might be detrimental to his and Nidhi's immediate happiness, he feels compelled to indulge Mallika...the extent and degree dont make too much sense but you might have to put that down to drama...unless of course the Aaina track is in play and he is giving Mallika as long a rope as possible and waiting for the time when she will hang herself!

The whole time before they were married, it was stressed that nidhi was much younger then him, he too struggled with the whole age issue in the beginning, then why can he not understand her. He is treating her as if they were age compatible, and that they are an old married couple.

Plus age(ashu) generally gives people insight and wisdom, good education and upbringing is icing on the cake. Other than in his profession, I have yet to see him display these characteristics, specially regarding his personal life.

I was leaning towards the Aaina track myself, but after reading all of the posts today, it doesn't seem like it. Maybe , it will come into play later.

Arti I dont think Ashu is insensitive towards Nidhi , I have also noticed this that he is romancing Only when they are alone but when he is infront of Mallika he behaves in a different manner.

I think the reason behind this behaviour is not there age gap , according to me he feels guilty . And he don't want to show Mallika that he is enjoying his married life while she is suffering because of him . He just don't feel comfortable romancing in front of her, when he very well know Mallika loves him deeply.
He don't want to hurt her feelings

regarding age gap , ashni are comfortable with each other, I don't think anyone of them bothers about this.
I don't think he is proving to be a bad husband, it's only in front of Mallika that he is behaving differently, otherwise he showa his concern for her infront of every one , remember Ashu wrote some romantic lines for Nidhi when she cooked for the first time after marriage. He also don't hesitate to show his love in front of BB.
