Am tired of watching Nidhi taking the initiative in their relationship all the time.

Time now for Ashu to be a man, become AshMan. Let's make a list of the improvements we would like to see in Ashu...and forward them to the manufacturers ( Kamlesh Pandey, Rajan Shahi and Sony). I am making a beginning. Please feel free to add on.

1. While he may have been a stranger to the ways of love, as the senior and more mature partner, it does not befit Ashu to wait for his wife to show the way every time. Can he please be a little more spontaneous in his lovemaking?

2. It is considered a norm that older men pamper their younger wives no end and fulfil their every little desire. Their level of insecurity possibly prompts this behaviour. However, things seem the other way round here. Could we please see Ashu indulging his child-woman a lot more in the future?

3. While Nidhi's consent was sought after he had agreed to Maillka's demands, it can be understood keeping in mind the circumstances. The priority was to save a life even if it meant giving into emotional blackmail. Given that he is well aware of Mallika's past misdeeds and how much she has hurt Nidhi, could he be a little more sensitive on the matter in future and not take arbitrary decisions that could affect their joint future?

4. Can we please see this mature, distinguished doctor tell his wife she was far too talented and smart to be playing cook/nursemaid to him and his soul-mate and that she should resume her career post haste?

5. It was preposterous that a doctor of Ashutosh's stature should tamely give in to Mallika's posturing and take her home with him. She is clearly in need of constant medical care. I recall Nidhi's lines from the day before where she said the doctor has to be heartless at times in the best interest of the patient. Maillka is not just Ashu's friend but a patient at KGH too. Could we see the good doctor applying some bit of his formidable medical knowledge here?

Totally agree with your points, especially the last one. Being a medical Dr myself, a patient like Mallika needs to be cared for in the hospital under restraint (meaning under tight physical control). In case in near future, she runs on the road uncontrolled, the way she ran in the Hospital, then who is responsible for a legal mess should anything happen to her while being in AShu's home? Ranga has happily discharged ger from KGH (one less headache). Hope AShu realizes this?

The depiction of medical conditions has been more or less a joke on this show, starting with the miracle cure for Alzheimer's. Why doesn't a body like the IMA, which is up in arms against Aamir Khan for depicting medical fraud on his show, take cognizance of such things? A writer of the stature of Kamlesh Pandey, who is well-informed enough to choose the name of Dr Kotnis for the hospital, can surely take a little more care on this. I understand that a certain amount of creative license has to be taken in order to further the plot etc, but this is taking it too far. Like you've said, who would be liable if something untoward happens to Mallika hereon. Shouldn't they have had Ranga making at least a token protest before Ashu overrules him and says that he is willing to take all responsibilty?

these points will not appeal to the sensibilities of the 'mature' audience of the writer... while the writer is riding on the highest possible horse and claiming that he does not believe in regressive serials... i m sorry to say, young adults wasting their time/education is very regressive to say the least... the writer cannot claim positive just because it doesnt fall into the 'saas-bahu' genre .. by labelling a script 'different' doesnt justify the nonsense which is being shown which insults audience intelligence...

while i got carried away with my rant, must mention i loved all your points.... 👍🏼...excellent post !
this is what we all have wanted to see... a gradual positive progression in all the characters... but whenever they take 2 steps further, some twist is added which takes them 10 steps behind...

Like I mentioned in another post of mine, the writer possibly derives vicarious pleasure out of having a middle-aged male character struggling to achieve a balance between the attentions of his beautiful middle-aged soulmate and his gorgeous young wife. Wonder how the same male would react to the presence of his wife's soulmate in his house? While there may not be a barah saal relationship there, Rohan has been far more considerate of Nidhi's emotional needs than Mallika has been of Ashutosh's needs.

Please dont call Mallika AShu's soulmate (she has always derived sadistic pleasure when Ashu was heart broken). KP may feel it tha way, but I do not. Yes, and you are right, Rohan was a far better friend for Nidhi than what Mallu has been for AShu.

Super post... i totally support ur sentiment and ur post..

Also..lovely points by niki_uae

However... (yes my perenial. bemari of BUT-ting in 😆)

WE shouldnt forget that.. Ashu has asked Nidhi to rejoin Kotnis.. earlier.. remember the GLASSES Epi.. n she had said.. she will think n decide...

One major flaw with Ashu is that.. he doesnt TAKE the INITIATIVE .. he did not.. BEFORE the confession.. during th confession... pre wedding or post wedding... i dunno if its a CHARACTER FLAW .. tho...but thats been the way.. always..

Now talking of pampering...Ashu AFTER THE NEEDED NUDGE has always pampered Nidhi.. wore ridiculous n hideous looking T shirts and ties for her happiness.. agreed to go to the horrible looking jungles for her... n so on n so forth...

The only GRUDGE i have of Ashu is he is BLIND to Mallus misdeeds... while extremely PICKY on Nidhis lapses... this one thing.. i DO NOT Like... n want a prompt correction...!!

@Nidhi going back to Kotnis... it seems such a dream.. now... 😭 what began as a mature love story of working professionals has been reduced to.. kahani ghar ghar ki.. minus the taam-jhaam!

Exactly my point...he does what he does only after the nudge...not a single spontaneous gesture on his part...she makes a suggestion, he kicks up a fuss before finally acceding to her requests...what about anticipating her needs/ wishes once in a while...or doing something thoughtful completely on his own..!

Are ab Nidhi kgh gayi to Malli Ashuke bedme dinbhar rahegi. (jab tak wo ghar hoga tab tak ) Ek baar Ashu kgh jane lage to uske baad hi Nidhine kgh jaana chahiye. BB, CB, Arman, SB, Anji and for a change DB also should insist and patao Ashu ke Nidhiko abhi kgh join karana chahiye. Nidhine bhi Ashuko ye baat bataani chahiye ( with her foot down) ke ab wo kgh me kaam karegi. Malliki dekhbhal karneke liye BB, ( an expert doctor) HK aur DB ( for all other help) hai. Anjibhi beech beech me running around aur kuchh chhote mote kaam karegi.

Are, par ye main kya likh rahi hun? Ktlk teamke liye ye sab Matured nahi hai. Aisi baatonse unko KIK (vicarious pleasure) nahi milnewaali hain na?
