oh!God... Jus read this thread...

I have only one line to say... This is the last straw... In the quest to be distinct and different, KPJi always tried strange things...

I remember writing a spoof on "This is s a different story" .

KpJi says - The characters here are not run of the mill... they are complex... KPJi! A big bow to you...

I have close friends from opposite sex who are with me from last 15 years but they never overtake the place my hubby has...

I do no have brains to understand how come Ashu was a lone and sad soul till Nidhi entered his life.. If Mallu his soulmate is next to him?

sorry, I am not trying to be agumentative over here but, I have seen DK more than 50times, and I still have not gotten tired of it . It the most heart touching story I have ever seen.

Now as your saying he only used the characters and their back ground,a nd n ever followed the DK script, well I think you are wrong. He has used quite a bit if mot most of the story, but with a lot of variations. Which was also okay cause script writes do have that creative liscence. And they had to stretch out the story line,if you remember DK if you watch in entiretyis a little bit over three hours. Now what he did that was against DK story ,was,Mallika , he has totally butchered her character, in DK also no one liked her, but she still had class, so at the endoc DK we were sympathetic towards her, where as In ktlk we hate her guts, we think her the lowest type of human being possible, and that is what ktlk has done. DK mein Zoya kept up with her profession, here nidhi is wasting her education, and of course Rohan, have no idea what purpose HHS seeved(don't het me wrong I adored his character).

And plus we both agree, he has totally massacred the story.

Hello Libra Mam - Happy to know that you have watched DK more than 50 times. I am also not being argumentive here, but can you please clarify these doubts for me -

1. In DK, Dr.Zoya started out as a reluctant doctor- to- be and then gradually came to love the profession.

2. In DK, Dr.Ahmer and Dr.Zoya were shown gradually falling in love through their interactions with each other in a hospital background. I mean, I still don't understand why Dr.Ashutosh and Dr.Nidhi fell in love with each other (Maybe, I am a little dense!😊)

3.In DK, Dr.Ahmer, like any worried and caring lover went in search of Dr.Zoya on 2 important occassions .One, when Dr.Zoya had gone out to visit a patient during curfew time,Dr.Ahmer located her, brought her back safely, while at the same time, chided her for being foolhardy to venture out during curfew time.Second, when he came to know about the heart attack of Dr.Zoya's father (when Dr.Zoya did not report for duty in the hospital).After a long search,Dr.Ahmer located the hospital where Dr.Zoya's father was admitted and gave Dr.Zoya encouragement, strength and support in her hour of need.

4.In DK, initially Dr.Ahmer refused to buy the house when the truth about its ownership was revealed.But once he came to know about the financial misfortune of Dr.Zoya's father, he bought the house to help them out monetarily.

5.In DK, Dr.Zoya's father and Dr.Ahmer , again through their interactions got to know each other and had mutual respect for each other.

All these made Dr.Ahmer a character you came to admire and love, inspiteof his mood swings and obsession about his Baba and his house.

In KTLK, it is the character of Dr.Ashutosh which has been butchered the most. Agreed, you can use artistic license to strecth a story, but what was the difficulty in applying the above characteristics of Dr.Ahmer in KTLK? I don't have to elaborate on how these were handled in KTLK.

As far as your take on the characters of Mallika and Rohan is concerned, I totally agree.

The questions I have raised above about the portrayal of Dr.Ashutosh in KTLK may seem irrelevant to you, but as an adapted version of DK, KPji has no justification for changing the nature of the main character.And since KPji has introduced the Shaadi track, it is only just and fair that the tagline, adapted from Ms.Haseena Moin's Dhoop Kinarey be removed.

Anyway, as you rightly pointed out, we both agree that KPji has massacred the DK story.😊
