1. In BB's words only, Nidhi had clearly wasted a medical seat which another person could have used it for the goodness of the world.
2. Nidhi 'was' an intelligent doctor and she was shown (in the initial episodes), realised the importance of a doctor in the eyes of the patients and also during CB's hospitalisation. When she had a first hand experience of the necessity to utilize her knowledge, why she doesnt use it?
3. Lets say, Nidhi is some other professional...not a doctor. Even then, she is an able bodied person in her prime youth. Is it not her responsibility to do something useful?
4. Nidhi is not from DB's generation. She obviously knows the importance of self respect, self relibilty and independent thinking. Going out and working gives a person all these qualities. In a show like KTLK, where the characters have broad and practical thinking, it is very surprising to make Nidhi a typical bahu of 18th century. The money which you earn on your own, gives you stability and independence. Various situations you tackle gives you confidence and emotional maturity. You will recognize the self importance.. which is more important to any person.
5. While showing my displeasure about Nidhi's this attitude, I am very disappointed with another thing. As everyone is predicting, if the lady thrown out from a hotel is Mallika, I say, seriously KP needs a mental checkup...for cheap depiction.
For God's sake, Mallika is a reputed doctor. She must have made an error in recognizing Jagan. But she had handled her own life for 35+ years. She has maintained herself with dignity. Please... KP...this is a serious objection...showing a self reliant and self sufficient lady in a bad light!! She is not a bechari... she cannot be thrown out like this...
Mudra valid points raised by you. 👏 My take:
1. Nidhi may be a newly-wed and totally enamoured by the novelty of running a home but they can still show her volunteering at Jeevan Sandhya. The first thing she drops, other than Ashutosh, is her job.
Unless KP is keeping that for a twist, where she gets bored running a house and wants a job. She is always shown as juvenile, which is an insult to this generation. 24 years is certainly not bacchi. 😉
2. One side they show Nidhi wearing a night-gown and walking into the hall, in front of her inlaws etc. which is more realistic and the other side Nidhi in pretty but inflammable salwar suits and bangles which are most inappropriate to work in the kitchen. 😕
3. As for mallika, my prediction is that she is ashamed and shocked at herself for committing a grave mistake and is unable to accept this.
But yesterday the episode did focus on real issues such as
1. Busy husband vs. Bored wife. ( no offence to homemakers, the one and only profession which doesn't get a single day off or get cash remuneration)😉
2. Nidhi's impulsive nature vs. Ashu's planned moves - See their reactions- ice cream in the night, can I come, no you'll take to long to get ready and not in this gown etc. -
A lot of scope here to build on personality differences - which exists in all couples. Hope we get to see some situations like this instead of a third party interference or causing MU.
