A consummation scene devoid of all the cliches that are a staple part of the television consummation scenario - no heaving bosoms, no locked fingers, no broken bangles, no smeared sindoor etc etc.! The show deserves credit for this if nothing else, for turning a cliched scenario into a rather pleasant surprise. Yes, the fire and passion were kinda missing but somehow, in the context of this couple, that didn't seem to really matter. Ashutosh made a subtle and yet a seamless transition from a shy lover to a husband who is slowly opening up to physical love. True to her character, Nidhi did not shy away from taking the lead, thereby making it easier for her more reticent husband to follow suit. The choreography was a tad filmi for me but not unforgivable!

The bliss on their faces during the reunion hug more than made up for any lack of fire or passion, at least for me! The subtle, sweet glances exchanged during the fruit eating session expressed their joy over their shared night, once again replacing the cliched awkward morning afters that every other show throws up.

Mr Kamlesh Pandey has expressed his displeasure over the episode. Nothing new there since no writer ever feels that the filming process has done justice to his writing. Would sure love to get my hands on that scene paper. But Sir, you can still pat yourself on the back for delivering possibly the most non-cliched consummation scene seen on television in recent times.

Of course, this is just the beginning. Let's hope that we still get to see glimpses of the fire and passion in the episodes to come! All of it in true KTLK style though!

Nice post.. waise u can share it on KPs wall. .he did love to read the other side of the pov...since most of us on his wall felt it was not as good as it culd hv been..

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kamlesh-Pandey/237637499655215

And when we say cliched.. i think not all moments of SR r cliched.. any passionate SR moment is not necessarily cliched..! The epi lacked that NAMAK ...aka Salt called PASSION that adds taste to a stale dish! For me it was sweet n best passable..!

The half SR nite was ten times more passionate without being the regular.. 'CLICHED' moment 😊

Agree with u on the fire and sizzle...for me though, it did not matter...I did not expect fire and sizzle to start with...

The fact that it was devoid of stupid cliches and far closer to reality, given the bounds of decency to be maintained on account of the airing time, was itself reason to appreciate it from my pov...

As for fire and passion, all in good time is all I will say!

Very nicely put Janvis.
Hope the CVs are reading all the pov's.
Including the need for expressing passion felt by many - could be just a caress of Nidhi's hair by Ashu (e.g. while she was etching the tree) or an extra dose of a sizzling look exchanged, or a nuzzle on the neck when not part of a choreographed song.
