Col Verma said 25 years before story.

After that Mr. Mathur adopted Ashutosh. May be he was around 6 - 7 years old.

In that case Sr Ashutosh wil be 31 - 32 years old.

How come 18 years age difference will come

Ashutosh is currently 42 in the serial.

25 years ago, Col Verma married Nidhi's mother.

Assume they had Nidhi a couple of years later?

Col Verma said that he had left the house and adopted a boy- they didn't mention when.

Assume Ashutosh was adopted another couple of years or so later.

25+ 2 + 2 = 29 ~ 30.

Somewhat makes sense if you assume Ashutosh was adopted at 11~12

yep they didnt said when baba adopted ashu...so it somewhat makes sense
