First tym posting on dis forum nd it's quite amazing tht already der r more than 10 pages nd d show hasn't begun yet!👏

Dhoop Kinarey was nd is simply awesome...evn if U watch it now, it seems so contemporary nd tht's Y it is considered a timeless classic! Apart frm d superb screenplay by Hasina Moin, the casting was a coup, which made d play so popular.

Hope KTLK too proves 2 b a sensitively potrayed show as DK nd sincerely hope it is an adaptation nd not a copy. Mohnish Bhel is a very fine nd seasoned actor, but don't know much abt d female lead, hopefully each nd every character will do justice to his/her role. BTW another very appropriate character is Alok Nath. Again a very fine actor, but wish he had been d father of d female lead, as in DK tht char was a very lovable 😊 nd had a substantial role, dan d father of Mohnish Bhel. (Dat role was a cameo).

Anyways will watch at least of couple of weeks b4 deciding whether 2 continue watching or simply watch DK all over again.😉

PS:- hadn't known a debate was on between copied nd remake!😆

the makers have already declared that it is indeed a remake of DK; they have taken the legal rights from the DK creatives.

I googled Dhoop Kinare and bang, came up with a mind blowing array of searches about this show. Then read the whole story at Wiki and other sites and found this to be extremely interesting and poignant.

A little more search yielded me those Vids and saw some of them randomly. Must say and admit its one of the best ever shows I have watched in a long time.

Now any adaptation or remake of an original show always takes away the best of the later, leaving the viewers very disgruntled or dissatisfied.

But this new show KTLK seems to have been blessed with great star cast, technical experts and good production house.It promises great times ahead for all of us.

In the coming week of unveiling, we will know how much justice is done to the original show and how much adaptaion will catch and attract the audiance.

But am an optimistic person and hope that Sony has struck a goldmine with this show.

Dhoop Kinare returns...

as Kuch Toh Log Kahenge on Indian television

About 25 years ago,Pakistani writer Haseena Moin made two television characters immortal when she took up the challenge from a friend to write the script of a TV show in two hours.The show was Dhoop Kinare and the largerthan-life characters were Dr Ahmer Ansari and Dr Zoya.After more than two and a half decades,Kamlesh Pandey is set to recreate the magic of the show for the Indian audience with a new name,Kuch Toh Log Kahenge.And getting into the shoes of Dr Ahmer and Dr Zoya are Mohnish Bahl and Kritika Kamra.
From the day that I started to write this serial,I had Mohnish Bahl in my mind.I like him as an actor and he is the perfect choice.For Dr Zoyas character we needed a younger girl,so we finalised Kritika Kamra.I did workshops with both of them to check out their chemistry and comfort levels and Kritika actually surprised me.She got into the skin of the character without trying to emulate Zoya in any way.It will be a treat to watch them together. says writer Kamlesh.
Tune in to Kuch Toh Log Kahenge starting October 3,2011 every Monday to Friday at 8 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.
