DISCLAIMER : This post is just my opinion. No offense to anyone. Read at your own risk

Yes Ekta needs to understand that the audience has changed.

Her writers team should take tips from youtube series writers especially from the tvf channel.

If the content is good, then youth will take subscription of that channel and watch it on tv only naa...if ekta is worried about TRP.

When will she understand that trp is not everything? For example, Kaisi yeh yaariaan Season 1 on MTV addressed major social issues like teen pregnancy,LGBTQ issues, PTSD etc. The show ended in 2015. But still it's impact is powerful ..may be because of lead pair chemistry, may be because of good writing. Even Amazon prime video started streaming it.

If the maker's would have thought about less trps back then, the show wouldn't had happened.

One might say that addressing social issues, bold scenes and all is not prime time shows audience cup of tea... consummation ke naam pe ITV vaale soft p**n hii dikathe hein .

Sorry for the rant! Quarantine and all has made me crazy. Bahut dino baad interact kar rahi hoon with others. I hope you understand.

I guess hum sab kuch tho hai..show se deviate ho gaye hein.

It would have been better if ekta ended N5 on a happy note(vani fans khush ho jaate yaar).

And started this Vampire-Angel story as different... with no connection to naagin franchise. Audience might have given this show a chance.

N5 actors are all good and could act well. The bad writing and the trp game ruined the entire show. If N5 could end quickly, then I have no hopes for kuch toh hai..

Now after watching one episode of kuch tho hai, I could say that this show will see its end very quickly. No offense to the actors. Harsh was good in nazar and krishna was good in yhm and all..

But here,I don't feel any connection

PKYEK is still one of the best show I have ever seen in ITV. Cast, screenplay, acting, thrilling element, background score, promo, twist and turn everything was more than perfect. Ekta Kapoor took more than 6 months to plan the show and aired it finally, no doubt it came out perfect. Yes, PKYEK some tracks were inspired from TVD, not completely copied so there is difference, PKYEK didn't copied anything from Twilight just the car promo was inspired from it and the human-vampire concept). Highly recommended show, wish Star Plus would promote well and re-air it as their weekend show, TRP would exploce for sure!

Same for Naagin 1, Ekta worked on it for months, even promo aired for 4-5 months before it actually got launched, N1 came out as perfect finite series, Ekta entirely planned the story before it got aired.

Colors TV and Ekta just randomly launched N2,N4, N5, KTH for more profit but actually its didnt worked and still not working. They seriously should have stopped after N3, Colors TV seriously need to take the weekend 8pm slot from Ekta, should give her at least 1 Year break so that she can start something fresh without copying and adding same twist and turns or might hire some new writers and work with them.

First half of Naagin 3 too, was perfect for the same reason (taking times to plan well), Ekta took 1 Year to prepare the story after trash S2 then promote season 3 over 4 months with interesting promos. No doubt, the promos, cast, story, twist and turn, thrilling element everything came out as perfect as it can be, first 50-60 episodes were absolutely well planned, later Colors and Ekta instead of ending it, they got greedy and had no story so just add random twist and turn and completely ruined the show.

Coming to spin-off KTH, seems to be copy PKYEK and Naagin franchise so it might got flop even the theme song is copied for Kya Pyaar Karoge - Kuch Toh Hai

Colors TV and Ekta need to stop now!

Agreed and to be honest Naagin 1 is not an original either but she marketed it in a better manner than Zee. Its a ditto ditto storyline where Sayantani is the Naagin who marries the son of a family who killed her parents. She marries to avenge her parents and like Shivanya she knows her husband is innocent. And there we had Aruna Irani play the MIL who like Sudha Chandran is initially shown to be a nice character but turns out she is the main villain. A S2 of that show was supposed to air but that never happened. Even that show ended with Sayantani's character giving birth to twin girls but she dies shortly after. And how her daughters avenge her death and kill Aruna's character. So Naagin 1 wasn't original either. Only difference being Sesha's character. Rest it was same but Naagin 1 had better VFX.

Well, I consider this Ekta woman to be silly. She's gone overboard when she recreated KZK, ruining a beautiful pair with a mindless twists and turns. She needs to understand that over time people have changed and so have the audience. The same repetitive storylines do not garner audience but deviate them.

She tried to create the iconic AnuPre but it failed because people do not want to watch the same things anymore. Over the years logic has taken its place and when you have much more amazing shows to watch not only on TV but also web then why watch ITV?

She again made a spin off of YHM that is, YHC. YHM was a phenomenal show (although based on a book), it had a base, a wonderful storyline, dialogues. It did well until they started splashing nuisance again. YHC had nothing out of the box. It's like the role reversal of Ishita-Raman and the kid.

I hope Ekta has enough allowances to hire new creatives and writers because her former ones have done good shows and are growing short at them, sadly.

Anybody ever wondered why Ekta never has her shows on Sony? Either Sony rejects her or...well, I hope Sony does. At least she could get some reality check which she is in dire need of.

KZK was a joke considering the original itself gave viewers a headache and I put up with it for Swetha Tiwari's sake. And remaking it and showing Hina Khan as the parallel lead when the male lead looks like a kid in front of her - and worse bring in Aamna who is much older And while I liked Parth as Manik in KYY and Erica as Sonakshi in KRPKAB, they both as a couple had lacklustre chemistry. And to think they won awards 🤔 Sony sadly though has nice shows the makers ruin them in a bid to get TRP audience which will never be the case. Instead be happy with the audience u have and stay loyal to the story plot and at the end the show will down as something memorable.

Problem is not Ekta or her writers. Its the audience. Ekta has made a couple of nice content on her OTT platform (like Bose, Test Case, Code M, Broken, Haq Se, CLCM to name a few) but where TV is concerned she knows if she comes up with anything interesting it wont get audience and TRP is her ROI. Y will she invest money when she knows there won't be any return? So its up to the audience. The day they reject her regressive shows like Kumkum or Kundali Bhagya, things won't improve.

If rehaan's family are humans, then all the vampires will haunt Ekta's dreams for the disgrace she brought🤣

One night stand leading to pregnancy...ahhh! I forgot that!

Also In ITV Universe, if the girl is married, then she can't become pregnant so early...she has to listen tantrums of her in laws, neighbours and God knows how many people.

And if the girl is not married, pregnancy track is a must for her🤓

Kumkum bhagya remake? Oh my god! Nahi yaar! Another 10 years of torture! I strongly think that ekta will run kb for another 5 years minimum...mere high school and graduation dhono katam ho gaye..but still KB is going on

Don't even get me started on side characters. I wonder how the actors take their pay cheques knowing that they didn't do anything at all except using some so called English words in party tracks.

Agar ekta ke pass itne paise hein . tho mujhe deh deti.. mein kuch accha likh leti.

I mean if Rehaan's family are vampires 😆 humans can still be considered dumb 😆 In ITV, if a couple is married, they will take eternity to consummate their marriage, even if they had been madly in love before 🤣 Mark my words she will come up with KKB remake soon, maybe after 10-15 years 😛

If the content is good, then youth will take subscription of that channel and watch it on tv only naa...if ekta is worried about TRP. That is subjective dear. KYY was popular among youth and what we need to remember is vast majority of the audience who watch content on TV are from the previous generation who have now been addicted to this crap.

Back in 90's, early 90's when I was a kid, I remember my mom raving about some DD shows and they are so progressive, even to this day. While movies have improved, TV is going backwards. Back in 80's and 90's you had some very good shows.

If the maker's would have thought about less trps back then, the show wouldn't had happened. See back in the old days, TRP was not much of a concern and audience did not have much say in the storyline either. The makers would continue the story with the vision they had which is why the shows were beautiful. Lekin abhi, what is happening? If some part of audience is not happy, they start a trend on SM and force the makers to show what they want to see. Everyone has a different viewpoint. And story becomes a khichdi. Kyunki Saas... would have ideally ended with Tulsi marrying Anupam's character but because audience wanted Tulsi to be with Mihir, they brough Mihir back from the dead and the show went on for a decade till Tulsi became a great grand mother 🤣

One might say that addressing social issues, bold scenes and all is not prime time shows audience cup of tea... consummation ke naam pe ITV vaale soft p**n hii dikathe hein . Oh no, back in 90's the TV shows were far more progressive and they dealt with issues like infidelity in such a mature manner.

Sorry for the rant! Quarantine and all has made me crazy. Bahut dino baad interact kar rahi hoon with others. I hope you understand. No problem, I get it.

Modiji should ban Tv serials for good! 😆

Ekta must have learned her lesson after witnessing the downfall of kzk2. If ITV Standards remained same even after 10-15 years, then its totally audience's fault. Can't blame ekta...she is investing money in stupid shows because she is getting money in return.

Yeah! PKYEK mein raaichands tried to blend by throwing parties ..by sending Abhay to college and business deals and all...I wonder what ekta and her writers are planning now.

ITV and it's concept of consummation... mereko samajh mein hi nahi aata.. it's Just a phase in every married couple's life... why can't they treat it as normal

I have no idea about the DD Shows. Heard they were good.

Yeah! I agree with your points. Kyy fan base was youth majorly.

Also twitter trends and TRP race ruined today's shows.

I hope ITV moves backwards then and show amazing content like it used to ..one day....and this one day may not come...too early
