Ssr was already replaced once by Hiten Tejwani, and people accepted him as Manav just fine. Unfortunately after his death, even a lot of his mediocre work has become golden. That hindi fault in our stars was terrible imo, it just got the traction it did due to sushant's unfortunate demise. These are all people trying to profit off of someone's death.

Shaheer replaced Hiten, not even SSR in Pavitra Rishta. It's like people have forgotten about Hiten altogether

The idea of having a new season of the PR was conceptualized only after Sushant's demise. Not a word about Hiten was ever spoken, as far as I know. Moreover, it's being sold as a tribute to Sushant (what a cover up for the mindset they have while launching PR2😳). If not anything, it's just disrespectful after what happened for more than a year.

I do agree that a lot of SSR's work is suddenly being hailed as golden, but fans keep regularly trending random tags on twitter & have gone berserk, so this is no surprise😆

Actually Shaheer is quite mediocre as an actor (no offense to him). Ask any Mahabharata fan... they'll say the weakest link among the central character was him as far as acting is concerned. He just couldn't cry and show rage at all....it was really funny at times.

I think Shaheer might be a better actor when compared to Erica but in this particular seasyhe has been lousy...he didn't have the intensity that's required. Sleep walked through most of the scenes. Looks ka toh pucho mat! Multiple shows ka kya hai...many actors have done it in the past and except for schedule related concerns... I doubt many had issues with their acting for most of them.

I didn't like him much in MB, it was very over-the-top for me but I really liked him a lot as Dev in S1, he was very good. His performances in the emotional scenes were very much on point.

This season, less said the better. Lol.

Yes I’m aware about Hiten. I’m sure he was accepted fine as I’m sure Shaheer is being accepted too. But like I said, it was the role that made SSR a household name - his breakout role. People associate Manav with him even today. So soon after his death, was there any need for EK to remake PR as a ‘tribute’? The timing is highly suspect. It’s nothing but cashing in on the heightened public sentiment surrounding his death.

If they wanted to pay tribute, they could hv made biography of him. And ankita could hv been part of that as his gf.

Yeah I see where you're coming from and wholeheartedly agree that PR2 being marketed as a tribute was a cheap marketting move.

I just think the hate that the show recieved for "replacing ssr with Shaheer" is unwarranted because he was already replaced by Hiten. SSR himself chose to leave PR for Bollywood

It is probably not fair, but understandable.

When Hiten replaced Sushant, Sushant was alive & thriving. This Role Manav, to his fans, was like a stepping stone for him back then. But now, with time & unfortunate circumstances, things have changed. Now Sushant is no more & Manav still is Sushant's first & only lead role in television. Now the role holds more sentiment to his fans. We anyway remember only the first actor who breathed life into the character. Sushant for Manav, Rajeev Khandelwal for Sujal & so on. Replacements do not connect emotionally as much as the original actor does. I doubt anyone even remembers Hiten had played Manav too.

Add with that the intention with which this show is being remade & the people involved in it & the way it's being marketed.... I think we should understand why Sushant fans consider PR as Sushant's show & dislikes the reboot so much.

Anyway, let's not discuss PR, Sushant or Hiten here. It's not allowed in this forum as per my understanding of the forum rules.

Hi guys even I'm a kuch rang fan and I love devakshi and I really don't want Erica to quit the show, like everyone even I'm not happy with the way things are shaping up in the show. And I want the show to be devakshi centric. But saying that shaheer is doing the show only for money is not right I feel.

Few months back there was an interview of salim anarkali cast and they spoke how their dues are yet to be paid, everybody from the cast showed their disappointment but there was no byte from Shaheer. Even uska pay due hoga but he remained silent bcoz he knows producer ko bhi bohot loss hua hai and he understands his situation.

Even in his previous show, his character was treated very badly, out of all the characters he was given the least screen space inspite of being the ml but still he didn't say anything although the reason why the show became popular and grabbed eyeballs only because shaheer sheikh was the ml. Even the producer tried to turn it into a two couple show by shifting focus from his character but he remained silent because he has always said in his interviews that he feels if a producer has showed faith in him and has casted him so its his duty to perform well and not leave the show midway just because he isn't satisfied thought I don't agree with this theory of his fully but this is the reason why he isn't quitting krpkab.

Regarding him being disinterested, since the start of the show he has not got any scope to perform, he hardly got any ss during ayush track even now he is made to act like a dumb man. He himself isn't happy that's why he is under performing. I agree with the looks part, just to butter his fans who like his long hair he really looked very unkempt for past one month, thank God he has trimmed his hair, I toh couldn't even see his face because of his shabby look.

And he is getting offers for new shows as well, why will he do this show which isn't even getting trps and engagement online and isn't contributing anything to his career. If he wanted to do it for money only then koi aur show karta na woh, ye toh limited series waise bhi.
