And I am seeing many eshwaris in sns. So much biasness towards gender. I am surprised to see their comments, like dev is man n he is bread winner, man of the house. It is duty of sona to take care children n house and she shd give more love to ayush n teach proper manners to soha. So much expectations from sona. And I am hardly seeing ppl recognising sona too working woman and doing double work of dev and it is dev's responsibility too take care of children n house including wife n mother.

I am laughing on comments like, sona is business tycoon wife, so she is getting good wardrobe. But they forgot she is boss lady too. Dev did so much to sona, who allowed her to work. So dev mahan..😆

And I am seeing ppl cribbing why sona sharing everything to father. But they are happy seeing dev just acting on mother's orders.

And also funny thing ppl are so happy when dev called bejoy bose as Mr. Bose.. Wow what happiness. Most of them are females who are happy. I was shocked to see such comments their heart did not even felt bad, he is calling FIL by name? Are they ok if their husband disrespect their father.

This is a mirror of our society. Woman don't see themself as seperate identity. Their mentality is woman is meant for household chores n make man happy. It is not man made, it is woman themselves made this. This need to be changed and they need to understand what is there strength and shd feel they are no less than a man. Long way to go for our society to acheive feminism. I am not saying woman shd over power man. But they need to understand they are equal in the house(though in reality woman are more stronger be it house wife or working. Most Men knows only to give orders but in reality they don't know to even wash their underwearsmiley36). I am not saying you behave bossy, be kind understanding helpful n same time you value yourself.

That buddy is what you call is ingrained misogyny. You can't even call them out otherwise they'll scream pseudo feminism at you. .

Maybe they'll learn some day maybe they won't I really don't know. It just gives me a headache.

Well that was always the case since season 1. No rules for Dev, all the rules for Sona. No expectations of Dev, all the expectations of Sona. The fact that women condoned/excused some of Dev’s most deplorable actions was shocking but gave us an insight into how patriarchal a society we still live in. The man is always right, let’s all blame the woman for all the issues that crop up in a marriage

Fact is ppl don't know meaning of feminism. Their in built is they are second citizen of the family. That is why, if man does lil thing also, females get overwhelmed.

We need to change this starting from our house. I hv already started with my boys. Iam hoping they lead mutual understanding life in future..

Do you mean for being the cause of all the issues?

Or for tolerating all the crap?

Both. If you observe at home, men not much bothered. It is mostly woman who is telling their daughter or grand daughters you are meant to this and you need to prepare for this. So it is inbuilt in woman that they hv to tolerate, forgive and do all things without credit..

Don't you see comments in yt n all. They expect sona to do everything n top of it they pass comments too. Why do they behave like that? It is bcoz our mind auto set by elders we shd behave certain way. So, they expect sona pour love to ayush the day dev brought him home. It is her duty to teach manners. Her professional career baad me jaye..but household expectation must met. Sona waiting outside n return back without even a message is not big deal but she shd attend n give imp to dev even in the middle of the call. This is what every home happens.

I hope ppl don't take me otherway, it is sona's too equal responsibility but ppl need to keep expectation same from both husband n wife.

Women are women's greatest enemies. Instead of being allies and standing against the misogyny, women in our society encourage other women to "give in" and "compromise" and "adjust".

Sona looks to be way more busy at her work than dev, and yet somehow, she's the only one spending time with soha and being asked to be present everytime her kid makes a mistake. Where's dev, you ask? Oh, he's busy playing with ayush and occasionally eating with and stroking sohas head at night. What absolute bullcrap is that?! Pull your own weight dev, be around to talk to BOTH YOUR CHILDREN. you want sona to give ayush more attention and soha less? How about you SPEND TIME WITH SOHA so that sona can spend time with ayush knowing her daughter isn't being neglected.

And forget Ishwari, someone please send her on a 10 year long pilgrimage or something.

Nicely written. The mindset is slowly changing with the rise in professional women. Even today when a man cooks/cleans/takes care of his kids, people are overwhelmed and amazed. That is primarily because men are seen as breadwinners and women as homemakers. We have a clear cut division of roles/responsibilities assigned based on gender. But with people travelling abroad , single parenting and rise in nuclear family , society has become more flexible to this thought process. But we have a long way to go. Change is something that people find it difficult to accept. At least now , we have production houses who are willing to show case stories where in women play a central role.

Another point is about respect for women. I somehow see that lacking . Every time we talk about respecting the head of the family but what about his wife?? We dont see the word respect associated with women. Now when I say respect for women, I meant husband respecting his wife. I know mom/grandma/aunt etc are highly respected but not many say "respect your wife" and people are ok with wife not being respected by the husband. How many time does a mom tell her son that he should not only love his wife but also respect her??!!.

Hopefully the "New Gens" who are much logic driven will be able to bring in a change.

Woman are always treated as 2nd citizen. So, word respect for woman hardly exist. But I feel we need to take initiative to gain respect. We need to b vocal abt it. Don't know how many ages it will take gain equality.

But I am sad abt how woman are treating other woman. Don't know when their mindset changes to value themselves...
