The week that was - Week 1

Hello everyone,

Just jotting down my thoughts on the week that went by. Nothing too technical or deep, just how I saw it. Feel free to add your views, thoughts, agreements, and disagreements.

What worked for me: It seems like a genuine effort to try to bring out issues that may plague couples after many years of marriage. You learn from your experiences and try to mould yourself. Sometimes life gets in the way and you take what you valued most for granted. How I see the revelation is how Dev and Sonakshi will react to it. They clearly have different views on how to handle delicate situations. The distance has grown between those two, one feels it the other is yet to understand it. As per the children, all of them are in a difficult situation. Suhana seems to have a perfect life but is looking at an uncertain future. Ayush has an uncertain present but the future looks more promising for him. Shubh is too little, may suffer from neglect in this real heir business. Ishwari is back to normal, not bothering herself with her daughters missing in the family tree. I was pleasantly surprised when I found myself wanting to watch the episodes, clearly, KRPKAB is special.

What did not work: The disjointed nature of the episodes was a bit jarring. The character growth seems to have been negated, Dev needs to tell off his mom and Sona needs to clearly voice her concern. Dev and Sonakshi's brains are on vacation, just believe anyone without a DNA test! Asha, the voice of reason in the series is no more means no one to voice out Sonakshi's concerns or no real guiding light for Dev.

Look forward to> What is next! I want Dev and Sona to handle their problems together. Ishwari to reflect on the treatment meted out to her daughters via Soha's situation. GKB for some comedy :) Devs reaction on if the other family shows interest in Soha, will he let go or be the Dev Dixit of the old and hold on to her tighter. Sonas bond with Ayush, while balancing Soha.

The styling and the ambiance look quite good. Finally, Dev and Sona have the millionaire family feels.
