Today’s episode was a balanced one. It portrayed the different dynamics within the Dixit family.

Easwari a mom who had struggled to bring up her children and in the struggle the best she could do was give Dev her son all the advantages that she could give and in doing so ignored Neha.

I still remember a scene where Neha wanted a doll or go to school but Easwari could probably afford to send only one and she chose Dev. When we are given no choices we make the decision that makes the most sense.

Dev seeing the struggle of his mom had only one aim get them out of poverty so he can give a good life to his mom. His life revolved around his mom and only his mom until enters Sona. Here I feel the characterization of Dev is that he really cannot juggle many things he is a man driven by single purpose be it his mom, sona, suhana or now Ayush.

Sona who though has given life to Ayush her lifeline was Soha torn between the two. Even in life we have to make choices based on the most need. I can speak from experience that even with my children I give support to the one who needs it most. That does not make me a bad mother it is just a choice we make.

Ayush a child who knew only a father suddenly finding himself with a brand new family. Though they are showering him with all still he is unsure because this is not his comfort zone.

Soha the apple of the dixit family suddenly finds herself usurped by a strange boy who has come as a guest but seems to be more than that. I feel for the child.

Dev now his focus is on making Ayush comfortable and he is the main focus sound familiar this was Dev with Soha.

Easwari sees Dev in the little boy so as usual going back to what she knows best.

Sona torn between this all…

Maybe History repeats itself to give us a chance to learn from it and right the wrongs …if that is the path this show is taking it is brilliant ,

Hope history won’t repeat since Sona is a stronger woman now !

Ishwari's new “ rang “ gives me feeling of “ mission dixit baby” kind

I hope seeing the madness in Iswari mansion

Ayush won’t runaway from home

I see Ishwari as making the right effort while Sona is making no effort at all. Ishwari did promise Sona that Soha will still have the same place as before and she did exactly that. She didn’t vacate Soha from her room, but added Ayush there as being equal to Soha. She tried to use Soha’s thing’s for Ayush as her way of saying they are equal and have the same place.she even prepared dum aloo which is Soha’s favorite.

Ishwari is trying to compensate for what Sona is not doing. Sona is the one who went to Ayush’s house, not Ishwari. Sona did both hug him nor even touched him while there. Dev shouldn’t have had to tell Sona to sit in the back, that should have come from Sona herself. Same with the vase. Sona did not go to Ayush and that was the reason why Ishwari had to go and comfort him.

This is all on Sona and is nothing to do with Ishwari. She was so quick to get Soha to their room and give her that sense of safety which she is not making an effort to give to Ayush who really needs it at this time. Sona is the adult here.

If you say Sona needs time to accept this new reality because of who Soha meant for her, then that was the same thing with Ishwari. She needed time too to accept Sona as Dev’s reality. But was criticized in every possible way for her reluctance. Sona cannot be right for the same thing where Ishwari is considered wrong. Sona should be held to the same standards as Ishwari.

Ishwari is trying to be what Sona should be. And she is doing that only because of Sona’s attitude. It is a spiral. One’s behavior feeding the other. Neither Ishwari nor Sona are doing right. Blaming only Ishwari is unfair.

Shaavi I get your thought process but I think you misunderstood mine. I am not blaming Easwari or supporting Sona. All I said is when we come across a circumstance which jolts us we all don’t react the same. Easwari is reacting like Ayush is Dev and sona is not very reactive because she has still not taken it all. So it is unfair to say Sona should behave a certain way. Regarding you saying that Sona is where Easwari was during the first season maybe you have a point but it is a point that I am yet to comprehend, so we will agree to disagree on that one.

Nice post and I really like your analysis of Dev!

Yes, there are certain elements of history repeating… though Ishwari doesn’t look anywhere close to learning from her mistakes and changing any behaviour pattern!!😜

But the story is still fascinating.. as now we are predicting how much of history will repeat and how much more loony will Ishwari get!!

Bring it on I say!!

I agree with your post.

But i don't want to repeat history. Sona is really strong woman who knows how to handle the situation
