Good morning and congratulations on Adda 74 🥳
It's no mean feat that we all have come this far 👏
Was tied down with a lot of things yesterday and could only come for fleeting visits in between 😕
Actually yesterday was a very important date in my life as my marital life started from this date many many many years ago 😊 and hence was busy with family and friends 😊
When we enter into married life we have apprehensions and lots of expectations - and gradually with experience we learn how to deal with all kinds of situations - good and bad. When I got married I was naive and not at all aware of the complexities of real life, so initially there were hiccups but soon I learnt how to deal with each and every situation and with now so many years of a fulfilling married life I can say that I have realised that no problem is big enough or that no task is unsurmountable enough to affect the peace of my mind. Because thats MY peace of mind - it's in my hand to maintain that - no external factor, however difficult or persistent it may be, CANNOT, put a dent on it. 😊
I belong to a generation where we thought that we should always abide by what the elders say and not argue with the seniors- that had its own advantage but now I see youth so confident and sure of their choices - I see it in my daughter - she doesn't feel shy of speaking her mind but at the same time is polite and courteous too - that's something I really admire in today's youth but of course exceptions are there now just as it was there then.
Most of you in this adda are bright and intelligent young individuals who have the ability to deal with whatever situation life puts you in - so my request to all my wonderful friends here would be - please don't let any negativity get to you in such a way that it affects your peace of mind. As I said earlier, it's YOUR mind, YOU decide how to maintain that peace - not anybody else. Since we all admire Shaheer and Erica so much, we should take inspiration from how both have dealt with the negativity in their own way and come out of it so well - Shaheer has literally risen like a Phoenix from the ashes and Erica has learnt to be able to be truly happy and at peace even after incessant bashing and abusing which I am sure she had never expected- if these two young people can, against all odds, then everyone can.
We are all here because we want to and not because we have to. I think we should wipe off any negativity that has seeped in andcontinue doing what we do with a positive frame of mind and have loads of fun and be happy together.
Cheer up girls- today is a brand new day and let's hope for and pick out the good things only and not give importance to anything negative and let it get to us
😃
I want to share a poem which I had read long back and which inspires me a lot:
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I AM THE MASTER OF MY FATE,
I AM THE CAPTAIN OF MY SOUL.
( Invictus by William Ernest Henley)
This was Nelson Mandela's source of inspiration during his long imprisonment.
Have a great day friends
