Could be. But one thing is confirmed that Erica is not just a costar or a best friend anymore. And Shaheer must have thought that fans will make a mountain out of this. I guess she must be feeling frustrated that everyone else is allowed to put hearts in his photo, while she has to be so secretive while actually owning his heart.
