Shades of perspectives...krpkab

So let's start, taking a look at the issue in hand from all the different characters perspectives.

Dev dixit : he is now probably the only one absolutely convinced about his decision. Keeping apart the jitters, this time nothing... Not this business nor his mother's disapproval can stop him from supporting his wife. And it's very similar to what I had thought which makes me very happy.!! The decision is completely his choice.. One mind you that he is completely comfortable in. Let me be clear here. When Vicky says kam chor ke ghar pe behtna...there is an implicit indication of housework being inferior to work done in office, or the status of house husband/wife being lesser of it being a bug sacrifice.

But as dev sees it... He is satisfied on his professional front. He has won business man awards, young achiever awards and has that respect and command. As he said no one can dare say anything to him! Anyways he has been running this rat race since he was small. So he wants to slow down, breather and live now a bit. And what better way than seeing his kids grow up. And this way he can support his wife and see her reach new heights too. After all he is doing is for his family. Only acc to him its not a sacrifice. Only a decision. He doesn't see it is giving up something, his status or work. And probably also the only character on Indian TV ever who doesn't demean housework as any inferior. He doesn't say it but it's implicit. Get the difference? I mean the man probably is way ahead of his family.

Sona : as I had thought she was a little hesitant at first. Looks like we women are more engrained into these norms and roles. It so surprised her that she thought he was joking. But as he showed his confidence and convinced her of his decision as well.. She smiled. Well not only smiled, but held his hand and taraofied him as he slept. Adoring her husband!
