Erica, who has previously worked in films across different industries like 'Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu' (Tamil), 'Ninnindale' (Kannada), 'Babloo Happy Hai' (Hindi) and 'Galipatam' (Telugu), will be paired opposite Shaheer Sheikh in the show, which is touted to be a romantic drama.

"I am very excited as 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi' is my first show on television and I am thrilled about this new adventure in my career. It is an honour to be associated with such a fantastic team," Erica said in a statement.

"As a child I have always wanted to have my fingers in many pies and working on television was always on my checklist," she added.

Talking about her co-star Shaheer, Erica said: "He is a really cheerful and sweet person. We hit it off instantly. But don't fall for his innocent face as he is very naughty and loves every bit of being a brat."

I have always wanted to do TV at some point in my career and this happened suddenly.

Tell us about your character in the show?
Sonakshi is a mature, strong-headed woman who knows the value of everything in her life that is her family, friends or work. She has fallen in love for the very first time in her life and this phase is bringing out a new shade of her personality.

What difference do you find between working in South films and doing a TV show?
Doing films and doing a TV show are poles apart. They are two different things and cannot be compared. But I enjoy doing both as I love what I do. The pace is 10 times than that of films.

How is it shooting with your co star Shaheer Sheikh?
I am glad I have a really good co-star. It's really important to have cooperative co actors when you are working and especially when you are doing a daily soap. He is a lovely co-star, very supportive and encouraging. He pushes me to do better.

How is it working with the senior actress Supriya Pilgaonkar?
Same goes with Supriyaji. She is a mother figure to us and the bond we have off screen is also similar to what is onscreen as of now. She is just adorable.

What tips would you give to budding actors?
Tips? I am not an Oscar winner to give tips on acting but all I can say is that we live the moment. When we perform scenes, we make it our own.

What kind of roles you would like to do in future?
I would want to do an action show/movie that would have me to train for it for sometime.
