@itelidevara Agreed Dev is a very smart businessman, no doubt about it. What I wanted to convey was that if Sonakshi is uncomfortable sharing her business issues with Dev it's totally fine, after all it's her business and she knows what is best for it but what I wanted was she should at least tell Dev or for that matter Ishwari that she will be late as there's some crisis, she doesn't need to give details just inform them that she is running late at least it will stop their worry.
Just my POV, no offence.

Lakshmi, SP12, in last thread I guess had written a post about how Sonakshi is now playing 2 roles which is her 2 identities. They are SD -- Sonakshi Dixit and BD -- Bijoy's daughter. We are looking at Sonakshi and seeing her as one person. But she isn't. For her these 2 people are completely different. SD is a dreamer, loves and adores Dev, basks in his love, is his better half, shares her thoughts with him. But BD is just the opposite. One who is practical and doesn't believe in fairy tales, who is loyal and bound to Boses especially Bijoy. Sonakshi has become Dev's replica of 7 years before where Ishwari had created that life where Dev had to live it as per her choice and not have any of his own. She made sure that he towed the line using guilt and that feeling of indebtedness.

Sonakshi as BD is in the same boat. Bijoy with everything that happened 7 years ago has created the same boundaries for her. SD is obligated to tell Dev about her whereabouts or take is advice etc, but BD isn't. As BD who is no one to Dev, she doesn't have to tell him anything. It is like how she was during her employment days before her accident and falling in love. She didn't have to tell anyone that she is done for the day or is leaving. Or what she does in her spare time. All that was her very own life. And now BD is that person. She is being what Bijoy sees in her -- Independent, strong person. BD considers SD weak and hence most of the time is ignoring and overpowering her.

She did not tell Dev anything because the task which needed her was the one which BD needed to take care of. And as I said before BD is not obligated to tell Dev or Dixits anything. And that is what she did. BD is not even tied to Suhana and is only tied to Bijoy and the Boses(core). That is what Asha gave her advise about -- being a wife and that is what she ignored. Cause that would mean merging of these 2 personalities. BD is not ready to let go. She is holding all the cards. Constantly reminding of all the things that she experienced in Dixit house and because of them.

Just like a lot of different things had to happen for Dev to confront his mother and ask her why she didn't trust him or his choice. Why he didn't deserve happiness for himself as he wanted. For saying that he cannot live without Sonakshi and showing her where her stubbornness has led him. Him questioning Ishwari under the influence of alcohol was the first time ever he questioned her and the decisions she made on his behalf. But even then it took Sonakshi's departure from life to completely question that requirement set by Ishwari. Where she wanted him to be only her son forever.

Sonakshi is in the same boat. Bijoy might not have asked directly, but he is also asking her to be only his daughter forever. Chained to Bose house and do her duties as a daughter and as a sister. Similar things has to happen for her to question Bijoy about his demands of her and confront him. Still more things needs to happen for her to completely break away from Bijoy's hold, let go of her BD persona and become Sonakshi which has both SD and BD living in harmony and balance.

Shaavi, to add to the SD(I like to call her LS (lover Sonakshi) and IB (Ishwari's bahu... the elder bahu of Trixits)/BD thoughts...

When Dev and Sonakshi gave their room to Vicky & Elena for the SR, it was Vicky & Elena whose SR that room witnessed... i.e. Mr & Mrs Dixit's room was used for Mr & Mrs Tripathi's consummation. Metamorphically(is that a word?) speaking, Mr & Mrs Dixit gave their marital bliss up for Mr & Mrs Tripathi's marital bliss. Its only now that Mr & Mrs Dixit were able to use the room for their marital bliss.

This time one Miss Bose (Sonakshi, not Suhana... Suhana is Miss Dixit) is giving up her room to another Miss Bose (I am guessing Saurabh and Ronita will have a baby girl while Dev & Sona will have a baby boy... massive assumption in my logic here.. I will admit). She left Bose house will all her memories and brought them to Suhana's room...

Another thing that I have always held since the day of slapgate, is that dada is equally responsible for that fiasco... Dixit and Bose boys (i.e. Dev & Saurabh) should have been left alone to sort that matter.. Firstly, Saurabh had lied to his partner (Sona) by not telling her where he was taking the loan from and secondly, Dev loaned the money to Saurabh.. why did anyone have to drag this into IN? Why did the Boses let Sonakshi go alone to return the money (and this was Dev's biggest frustration... why are you dragging the family into this?)?

So now, you don't even need Vicky to dupe Sonakshi... Dada might (in his not-so-harsh-vicky style) make Sonakshi realise that as much as we love our siblings, sometimes dil ke failse need to be taken with the dimaag.

As to why has Sonakshi not informed Dev where she is...? I will never figure that one out!

I could be wrong, however, I think (and I think you and I are saying the same thing), BD is about to retire. Suhana's cake baking and the b'day scene was a trailer into the future. Ishwari on the sidelines... supporting Dev & Sonakshi rear their family. (Cake baking was very symbolic of baby making... its worth going back and watching the scenes and the dialogues.. and I am serious.. no GM!... The way they put the cake in the oven and Dev asks Sona to rest... aww. Ishwari not disturbing them in the kitchen😳). It may be time the Boses and Tripathis are amputated off of Dixits... (as sad and harsh as it sounds)☯️

@Shaavi & @Dramaqueen that's a wonderful analysis 👏 , makes more sense of Sonakshi's thought process, i might be wrong but it actually reminds of the Pre-leap Dev who played the role of Ishwari's Son and Sonakshi's husband with the occasional role of brother to his sisters. And his realisation of this was reflected post leap when he said to Sonakshi that he should have built a bridge between her and Ishwari instead of trying to handle both the relations separately, that was the day when he realised that he needs to balance both the roles with the additional role of Suhana's father as well, but sadly it took him seven years of separation to realise this.
Now considering Sonakshi is in a similar situation of playing SD & BD, I wonder what needs to happen so that she realises that she needs to balance both the roles along with the role of Suhana's mother instead of playing each role separately.

DQ, I completely agree with you. And as per the new segment RR is happy that her RED is now a businessman. Ishwari talked specifically of 2 ehasaans her bhaiyya did for her. One is giving space in his house when she was badly in need of it. The other was the money he gave for Riya's operation. With letting Maamaji's family live in IN all these years that debt has been cleared. My guess is just like how Dev gave check to Saurabh for his business, he will give money to Vickky to start his own business. With that money now the debt of the financial help of maamaji is paid too. After this there are no more "ehsaans" that maami can invoke and get paid. Dev will lose that money, but will be free of the Tripatis forever.

It was after the first breakup, that Dev realized that he had fused himself to Sonakshi that he absolutely cannot live without her. It is not to say that he didn't try, to go back to how he was before Sonakshi. But he just couldn't. Sonakshi is right now in this phase. She is trying to be the Sonakshi she was at the beginning of S2, who was in control and had a path etched out. Where there was no surprises or unpredictability. But now she is constantly being caught up with that predictability and unpredictability. She keeps getting confused which is leading her not to be doing the right things in either places. Both the personalities are fighting with each other constantly to gain the upper hand and in a way she is losing it. She forgets the responsibilities of the other persona when she is this persona. i.e. As LS/SD, she forgets to fulfill the responsibilities of her business and as BD she forgets to do the same with Dev and Dixits.

But the current path where first she was asked to give up her room, now to give up/share the companies legal rights, BD is slowly fading away and SD is taking over. Adding the fact that she is pregnant will slowly take away that last stand that BD is making.

Also, just for the record... In no way am I suggesting any of these:

1. Married women should not have financial, emotional, logistical links to their parents

2. Pregnant women should let their professional world slide

3. A married woman should place her husband and child above all else
