When I was a child, I had two parrots. . They had their own home to live in, their cage. We loved them dearly but when I had to shift to other place, Daddy decided it was best to let them free. (We never believed in clipping their wings. .)To let them fly. .
He thought they would be very happy and would fly away as soon as the cage opens but you know what happened?
My father opened the cage but they did not move out.
They were too scared to go outside, to fly. We coaxed them so much, all of us, even lured them outside with food. But they did not budge.
After an hour of coaxing them, one of them finally stepped out. Peeked, saw everything. . Sat on a tree in a courtyard and then flew away!
The second was still inside looking at the other Flying very very high! It took him a lot of time to gather courage and finally move out!
When he finally came out, he took such an elegant, long flight . .That within minutes he disappeared from our eyes.
I miss them so much today❤️ Wasn't it their wish to fly high in the sky? Did they not want it ? But they were scared. . Scared to step out.
The point is, Sonakshi is that caged bird. Who wants to take a high flight but is too closed.
She is used to the emotional cage she is living in. The cage was my birds' comfort zone. . They did not want to leave it. . Likewise the unemotional zone is Sona's cage.
See even when Baba freed her from the kasam, she ran. .But she did not confess right away.
She still needs a lot of push to finally take that step out.
Btw, I was totally shocked to see Bijoy willingly freeing Sonakshi to go.
"Jaa beta, jee le apni zindagi"👏
I always knew Bijoy was not a bad father, what else does a parent wish for? Only their child's happiness is what they seek.
When he realised he could be a hindrance in Sona being happy, he though unhappily, but immediately backed out.
Way to go Bijoy👏 More power to you!
That simply doesn't mean Bijoy has started liking Dev or anything. . I think that will entirely make up the next track. . Their bonding.
The lyrics of the song were so beautiful.
"Pal bhar me tere ho jayenge. .Koi ishara toh karo"
Dev is just waiting for the one signal. Just one sign and he won't take a moment to be hers again.
And Sona, poor girl, how much she has buried herself in the practicalities of the world that even after finally admitting she loved him, even after reaching that place, she stopped when she saw Dev. She could not gather enough courage to say it then and there.
Just like the first bird..Who did not just fly away..First flew to the tree and then took off.
Chalo, God is even removing that hindrance. . And the writers too. . They did not want to focus how Nisha is heartbroken if Sona herself calls it off.
Or Dev.
To not portray Nisha as a bechari (and I am thankful for that) they made her call it off. At a point where both Dev and Sona had realised everything. So I am very happy with the way it went ahead.
And how amazingly writers raised the same questions as some of the viewers through Elena and Sourabh,
"Sona selfish ho gayi hai"
"Wo stone ho gayi hai"
"Tu dev babu se pyaar hi nahi karti"
"Aisa bhi kya ho gaya uske sath"
I was so fed up of this same question again and again..And how Ish answered it in few words. . "Jis ke dil par beet ti hai usi ko pata hota hai"
Looking forward to the episodes now.❤️
I am sure, even after the confession. . It will take a lot of time for Sona to heal, to come out of this cage and finally be her old self.
Her hair, tight bun even today..Signified how tightly she has wrapped herself..How closed she is even at that moment.
P.S I was a child of 6-7 years back then and didn't know about birds. I still have one pal as my bird now and I certainly wouldn't encourage freeing pet birds like this. The earlier two birds were not for much time with me so were adapted to wild life. . But once tamed, a pet bird becomes incapable of defending itself from the predator.
Quite contrary to what people believe, it can not give them freedom but death..To let them out like this.
Don't keep them caged if you can, but if they are tamed. . Don't just push them outside..Give them to some place where they can be taken care of.😊
