I LOVED IT. This is so amazing!
I mean, abortion is such a taboo thing in our country, and wanting to terminate when there is no medical reason? That's like committing a sin. But, I'm so happy that you've shown this in such a positive light. There can be so many reasons that someone doesn't want a child. So, it's nice to see that the others have decided to support Sona.I was pretty sure that Dev would try to explain to her how things are different and that she shouldn't think about terminating. but he didn't. That's a big deal. I thought he wouldn't let Ishwari know because ofc, Ishwari would start celebrating. But he told her and she seemed to understand Sona's hesitance too! That's so nice!I really loved this chapter!
Dont laugh at me, you know the pains I am going through to complete this particular fiction...😡😆Originally posted by: sona_naksh

My story men are always so compassionate and understanding. I wish I get such a man in my life as well... Wishful thinking...😉😆Originally posted by: JALK2000
Loving this story, your Dev is such a fabulous man, understanding, compassionate, practical and eternally supportive. Loved that he did not hide the pregnancy from Ishwari and give a chance for others to play politics with it and also loved how he took a stand for Sona right away with Ishwari and asked her to pretty much leave Sona alone until she convinced him of her good intentions.
CHAPTER-7
Baawra mann dekhne chala ek sapna,
Baawra mann dekhne chala ek sapna...
Ishwari controlled her stride towards Sonakshi's room... Yes, it was now more of Sonakshi's room than Dev's, because; it was she who managed her room, her life, and not Ishwari's interference, that she earlier couldn't control herself from intruding. Ever since Dev had proposed marriage with Sonakshi for the second time, Ishwari had tried her level best to not give her two cents unless she felt it was really needed and they are unable to handle it on their own. To be honest, they aren't kids anymore to keep on taking other's opinions every time into account into the matters that concerned the both of them. Though Ishwari sometimes urged to butt in, but had to pull herself really hard from committing the same mistakes again and again, in the process spoiling their peace of mind and happiness. And this was one such another time, where she had the strongest urges to go to Sonakshi, and give her a right piece of knowledge; that what she is doing is not needed, and all of that. But Ishwari stopped in her tracks all together. Dev has but clearly let her know that she is not supposed to over-impose her opinions on Sonakshi. Though Ishwari felt a bit let down by Dev's outright refusal to interfere, but she also understood the fact that once bitten, twice shy; Ishwari had herself led her son and daughter in law in the past to such circumstances, that now they are so wary about everything, that all they want is some peace of mind and no unwanted opinions, as to how life should go on in their personal space. Obviously, between a husband and wife, their decisions are supposed to be between them and not made by someone else. To have a child or not have, the number of children, when to have them; are all that the spouses must think themselves and not someone else.
As to why did Dev even tell her, if he didn't want her to change Sonakshi's opinion? Ishwari slowly understood the fact now. He was trying to balance between the husband and a son; he didn't want Sonakshi's decisions to be altered, but tried keeping his mother is the loop too, so that she doesn't feel left out and totally out of their lives. Ishwari smiled this time. Haste is not a really good option all the time, if she keeps on jumping the guns, all she is going to do is shooting abrupt shots and running blood everywhere; not literally, but metamorphic. Relationships are too fragile to be hit like this. She needs to relax.
Holding on to a lot calmer pace, Ishwari knocked at Devakshi's door.
Baawre se iss jahan mein, baawra ek saath ho,
Iss sayaani bheed mein bas haathon mein tera haath ho,
Baawri si dhun ho koi, baawra ek raag ho,
Baawre se pair chaahein, baawre taraano ke,
Baawre se bol pe thirakna...
Baawra mann dekhne chala ek sapna...
"Sonakshi?"- Ishwari spoke kindly to Sonakshi who was resting on the bed, probably tired with the twist in health and a huge news in life at the threshold of motherhood.
"Maa..."- Sonakshi sat up straight seeing Ishwari. Though she anticipated what brought her here, but she waited for her mother in law to continue.
Ishwari sat at the edge of the bed near Sonakshi and motherly caressed her messed up hair due to lying. No matter what, this motherly gesture by Ishwari made her remind her of mother, Asha; and this made Sonakshi at a lot peace.
Tucking her hair behind her ear Ishwari said- "Dev ne bataya mujhe, ki tum phir se..."- Ishwari left the sentence hanging, just passing on the gist of the direction of the conversation.
"Maa... maine abhi tak iss baare mein kuch bhi nahi decide kiya hai... Mujhe Thoda time..."- Sonakshi stopped mid-way seeing Ishwari's hand raised indicating her to stop.
"Main tera faisla jaanne ya badalne nahi aayi hoon Sonakshi. Main yahan bas ek maa ki haisiyat se tere paas aayi hoon, tera saath dene... Tu jo bhi faisla karegi, humein manzoor hoga hi. Humare paas Suhana hai, daadi banne ka sukh hai, ghar mein do bachhon ki chehek hai. Yeh kisi bhi lihaaz se kam nahi hai. Iske baad jo bhi bachha ho, ya na ho, wo tumhara aur Dev ka faisla hai."- Ishwari cleared her point.
"Maa, mujhe bohot darr lag raha hai. Main wo sab dubara nahi seh paaungi jo maine Suhana ke time par akele saha tha, aap sab ke bina, Dev ke bina. Suhana ishq karti hai apne papa ke pyaar se. Soti nahi hai unke bina, beemaar padti hai toh usko papa chahiye, dawaayi wo apne papa ke alava kisi ke haath se leti nahi hai. Mujhe Dev ki aadat si hone lagi hai Soha ki parvarish karne mein. Aapka saaya rehta hai uspe, main befikr rehti hoon, ki aap hain toh Bachhe sab theek hain. Agar phir wahi sab ho gaya, toh main kaise sametungi khud ko dubara?"- Sonakshi shared her agitation.
"Aur tujhe aisa kyu lagta hai ki wo sab phir dubara se hoga?"- Ishwari inquired.
"Pata nahi maa, uss waqt bhi mujhe kabhi ye nahi laga tha ke naubat divorce tak aa jaayegi. Lekin wo sab hua. Zindagi ka kya bharosa... Main kaise yaqeen karoon ke sab theek hoga iss baar. Koi oonch-neech ho gayi, toh kaise sambhaalungi main sab kuch, aur iss baar ek nahi do-do Bachhe stake par honge."- Sonakshi spoke her heart.
"Sonakshi, beta, main haath jod ke tujhse uss waqt ke liye maafi maangti hoon. Maana ki wo rishta tum dono ne tootne diya, par meri ghaltiyaan usse bhi zyada thi. Maine apne bete ko baandh bhi diya, aur jeene bhi nahi diya... Inn sab mein tumne aur Soha ne bohot dukh dekhe. Mujhe maaf kar de beta..."- Ishwari apologised joining her hands.
"Arre maa... Ye aap kya kar rahi hain... Please aap aisa mat keejiye. Mere dil mein koi giley shikwe nahi hain, bas darr hai, aur wo toh waqt ke saath hi jaayega..."- Sonakshi dissolved Ishwari's plea by separating her palms.
"Tera darr jaayaz hai Sonakshi... Tu achhe se soch aur phir koi bhi faisla karna. Bas ye zaroor sochna ki aagey tujhe apne faisle ka koi pachtaawa na ho... Bachha rakho, toh aagey badh ke peeche mat mudna aur na ye sochna ki kaash ye bachha paida hota hi nahi... Aur agar ye bachha na rakhe toh na hi aagey chalke ye afsos karna ki bhagwaan ne mujhe dubara wo pal khushi se jeene ka mauka diya tha, par maine jaane diya... Jo bhi faisla karna, soch samajh ke karna..." Ishwari patted Sonakshi's shoulder, as she left the room.
Baawra sa ho andhera, baawri khaamoshiyaan,
Thartharaati lau ho madhham, baawri madhoshiyaan,
Baawra ek ghunghta chaahe, haule haule bin bataaiye,
Baawre se mukhde se sarakna...
Baawra mann dekhne chala ek sapna...
Dark in the room, Sonakshi was wide awake till late, she couldn't sleep a wink. She knew Dev was awake as well, but he really didn't poke her personal space at the moment. It was her decision making, and she had to do it alone.
Some months ago, this had to be her eternal peace. Her decisions were her choice, and she didn't take more than 5 minutes to take them. She would face those head on, and done and dusted with within 5 minutes. Here, she has spent more than 5 hours lying here in the bed, thinking about nothing but this impending decision.
Giving up, she turned towards Dev's side, touching his arm in need. He opened it needlessly, making her glide in his arms, her head on his chest, she cuddled onto him- "Dev... Mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha... Main kya karoon... Ek waqt tha jab mere liye koi decision lena badi baat nahi thi, lekin iss baar aisa lag raha hai Jaise main ek kadam bhi aapke bina nahi le paaungi... I can't do this all alone..."- Sonakshi shared.
Dev kissed Sonakshi's head as he said- "Tell me, how I can help you right now... How do I help you make a decision?"
"Dev had you had been in my place, what would you have done?"- Sonakshi asked.
"See, Sonakshi, I am not trying to convince you or something. I am talking very much in general. How much ever I have seen in my life, I have come to the opinion that we should go with the flow. To get scared of the future, is the scariest way to live your present. For example- Kal agar meri divorce ho gayi toh main kya karunga, isliye main shaadi hi nahi karunga ...Or, if someone is ailing with some disease, he doesn't take treatment because he eventually has to die... Do you think they are any sensible decisions?"- Dev asked her.
Sonakshi nodded her head in negative; her eyes were pensive, as if she started understanding what he was meaning to tell her. Dev continued- "In those cases, what do we do? We take a leap of faith. We believe that things will all be fine, and if God forbid if things go wrong, we will deal with it. We will try improving the situation, and if things are really hopeless, then it is anyway God's plan, why to cry over them. If he has made some situation in our life, he will guide us through the path as well. Why to worry over things that are anyway not in our hands?"- Dev explained it to her.
"So do you think, I should also take a leap of faith?"- she asked him.
"I can't make that decision for you sweetheart, that is completely your decision. If you ask me if I were you, yes, I would have taken a leap of faith, I would have gone with the flow. Like I am flowing right now. I have left things to your decision because I can't really do much in it. So, this is all your call, to decide."- Dev kissed her head once again and closed his eyes finally.
