So Sonakshi's promise to Bijoy is only a mask to hide her fear

Till yesterday, I believed that Sona is not or will not open up to Dev because of her promise to Bijoy. But, yesterday I understood that she could give that promise to Bijoy without any hesitance, because she had decided in her mind that she will/can never be back with Dev, as she was heavily scarred with what all had happened 7years back. And since Soha also is in picture now, she is now scared to take a chance. Hence, she gave the promise and now using it as an anticipatory bail to maintain her relation with Dev as his best friend. Meaning, with the excuse of the promise she has given to Bijoy, she could succeed in putting Dev in his limits, when at the same time if Bijoy questions her again on her relation with Dev, she can just silence him saying I have given a kasam on you; what else do you want?. While, under all this pretext she can also be happy being in Dev's company.

It is this secret arrangement of Sona that Ishwari has thwarted and now with Dev agreeing to marry, it will not take much time for the cat to be out of the bag...I feel, when the time comes Sona will not remember about the promise she gave Bijoy and then it would be Dev who will decide to win Bijoy, before he takes Sona back as his wife. It's getting interesting and I am excited...😊

P.S: The way Sona is behaving with Bijoy in the last 2days (first when she sarcastically asked Bijoy during her IN visit whether he had any more questions to ask and secondly the way she got irritated yesterday when Bijoy laughed watching TV) plus her NO to Asha when she asked yesterday whether the promise she gave to Bijoy is bothering her, has made me analyse Sona this way. Sorry, if I have hurt anyone's feelings for Sona here.

Agree but i think first remarrige will happen like vickki and elena and then eventually baba bose will cool down but before that some one must put some sences in his brain that he is not perfect and he don't understand his daughter happiness then and only then it is possible. If this not happend it will be the same picture like s1 where sona was tring to win ishu mata and she don't want to see it .so i feel if baba bose get the reality check then no need of dev to impress him when he see his daugther is happy he will cool down

Grace- I think the only way to Bijoy's heart is his daughter's happiness.

He is cordial with people who keep his princess happy.

Dev now needs to show his love , his ability to be the equal partner that Sonakshi wants, the man she can rely on.

Note how Bijoy never once remembers his own insult or slap. he only remembers how his daughter cried.

Dev had a great chance to win Bijoy by upholding Sonakshi in front of Malti. He had a chance of being cordial by taking Sonakshi in morning properly by taking permission from Boses. But no. he sneaked at night. Not a very good idea. It's very insulting to the host.

Thank you Timba for the comments. Regarding Dev-Sona getting married like Vicky-Elena, I have a doubt. Because, Sona ne Bijoy ke saath kasam khaaya hai. She may get angry with Bijoy for having taken that promise from her; but, I don't think she will break it.

Good going Grace...im jus loving ur postings these days n hve such a meaningful n varied discussions on it...i too myself believe the day Sona realizes her love for Dev was always there deep intact buried in her heart... ..no promises or chains will bind her!! RIght now she is hiding under the pretext of promise n acting indifferent n cool like yest...but sooner the hell will break loose!

JShukla - Thanks for the comments. Except for Bijoy not remembering his insult; I agree with what all you have said. Though Sona's happiness of priority to Bijoy, he for sure giving equal weightage to his insult. On the day of his insult, he told Dev that he will never forget his insult and will never let Sona also forget his insult. And till date, just like Ishwari used to emotionally blackmail Dev using their past, Baba Bijoy is trying to ensure that Sona also doesn't forget this insult. But, because Sona is not that tied up to Bijoy to the extent of how Dev was to Ishwari, we are not feeling that burden. That is the difference.
