@Sam, is it ok if I ask this question. What are your thoughts regarding Bijoy's dialogues and expressions in today's episodes. I felt his expression was very similar to what he showed when Sonakshi blasted Dev in office. The one where Bijoy comes to meet Sonakshi and sees Sonakshi arguing about the wall that she had built in his office, the one Dev broke. I found Bijoy's expressions very similar to that. That day too he was like a cat that ate the canary. Please share your thoughts. 😊
Of course; you don't have to be so hesitant to ask 😆
Honestly, Bijoy's response just made me sad today. Like Asha said, he is so gleeful about his ends being met that he is rendered blind to how much Sona is suffering. I agree with you; it was the same cat who swallowed the canary look that he always has when Sona displays outward indifference or antagonism towards Dev. Little does he realise that that anger is the only way she has of expressing overwhelming emotion.
Her immediate and impulsive reaction when Ishwari told her to find someone for Dev was to rush to Dev and blast him... because he is the first one her heart turns to when it is overburdened. And how did that emotion come out? In the form of meaningless anger, which thankfully, Dev has learned to read as a cry for help. But Dev can't truly help her unless she tells him what the real problem is... that she loves him but she is too scared to give in to that emotion. Bijoy is one of the direct causes and facilitators of that fear, but until Sona reveals that to Dev, he can't help her change Bijoy's mind about him, something he is more than capable of doing at this point in his own personal growth.
Ishwari's plan will probably backfire because she is thinking Sona will follow a similar path to Dev; as soon as she realises she loves him, she will confess and they will live happily ever after. What she didn't bargain for is exactly what Sona did today. As soon as she got an inkling of her feelings through her talk with Asha, she ran as fast as she could in the other direction. This is what Ishwari is missing but Dev sees (because he knows Sona better). Sona can talk herself in and out of absolutely anything in the moment, but the suppressed truth builds up until it bursts out with devastating effects. That is why Dev is being so patient with her -- he is trying to eliminate the need for her to pretend to feel or not feel a certain way, and I am swooning over the fact that he is constantly dropping hints that he can see through her facade without being smug about it.
If it were real life, I would be with Dev all the way, but since we do need drama, I am enjoying Ishwari's intervention. They kind of cemented that it would backfire when the showed her teaching Soha the merits of lying today. 😕🤣
