Very aptly said! I am really hati ng this Ishwari now 😡 .She is the worst example of a mothe. If she really wanted Dev's happiness she would not do this. And Bijoy is no less.

so finally our show is making us see bijoy in the same light as we see ishwari.
ishwari may be a manipulative mother, but at the core of her heart, dev means the universe to her. as long as she remains the apple of his eye, she does not really bother what he actually does.

her only problem with sona is dev treats both ishwari and sona in the same way, yeh baath ishwari ko khatak ta hain, ki uske competition mein koi aur khada hain. That's all . she does not really wish for anything evil against sona

Bijoy on the other hand loves sona, but he is heavily prejudiced. he feels that if he allows dev to come closer to sona while he is still alive then it is his failure as a father. the outcome of the deeds of both parents may be same, but their reasons are different.while one is trying to remain a focal point in son's life, the other is trying to measure his worth by keeping the love of his daughter away from her.

if we think on these lines, ishwari methods may be wrong, but not her desire. while in bijoy's case his desire itself is wrong. the success or failure of him being a good father cannot be measured by the relationship between dev and sona. It needs to be measured by the bond shared by him and sona.
kaash yeh choti si baath us mandh buddhi ko samajh mein aye.

I agree with you!! Maybe not fully... But i do agree with you too some extend... It looks like dev and sona s relationship has become a meter for both the parents ie bejoy and ishu to check how successful thier are as parent... But they fail to realize the importance of dev and sona in each others life... Or say scared what if history repeats... As a parent its normal for any parent to be scared about thier children... But interfering to an extend where they will once again lose thier themselves once again... Is not right that is what both fail to do...when a couple gets married... They may make mistakes...take wrong decisions... And may more... Its the duty of the parents to support them and correct them when they are wrong... But not to interfere in thier lIves..b ut they kept on interfering in thier relationship... And since they considered thier families above thier relationship... They didnt say anything or say didnt Express thoer feelings with thier families about thier constant interference... This is where things went wrong... And now once again the same mistake is repeating... Even of now dev and sona dont take stand for thier relationship as of now nothing is between them other than being friends... But they need to stop thier parents interference and take a proper stand and say... The relationship between us... Is not a meter to test our loyalty towards our families or anyone...!!

We all know that Ishwari is wrong . What I think is that being uneducated she lacks self awareness. She never thinks about the consequences of her actions and doesn't realize that what she is doing is called manipulation of the worst kind. She wants Dev's happiness but she has never been able to face reality and accept the fact that Dev's happiness was and will always be Sonakshi.

Bijoy... I don't know what to say. As a daughter I love my father more than anything in this world. And would happily sacrifice anything for him. I'm pretty sure I would be torn but I would do it because I can never see my father unhappy. And I guess that is what Sonakshi is doing. Come to think of it that is also what Dev did for his mother preleap. That's why I never blamed him for breaking up with Sonakshi the first time. Yes it was an impulsive decision but that is Dev's nature. Its up to these two parents to realize what they are asking of their children, to open their eyes and see that their children have already sacrificed their happiness quite a number of times. Now they deserve to live their lives in peace.

its ok to be protective for kids even when they are adults but manipulating them emotionally is totally wrong. when kids grow up parents can only advice them they should in no way enforce their decisions on kids.

Saumee, it is so depressing that it has taken away all my energies to contribute anything. It has been ages.. I do watch the show even today but only for sharica. But feel very sad for both Dev and Sona. Pity those families who treat their main stays just as someone who should take responsibility always. Such people are worse than your worst enemies!
