Isn't it depressing to see Dev and Sonakshi genuinely trying to have a normal, happy life and being repeatedly pulled back by their families?
It is awful to see them trying so hard to be just okay when their families, knowingly or unknowingly, decide to make them miserable again.
And it is not that They were even thinking of getting back together again, thinking of reconciliation, were just trying to come to terms with their past, trying to forgive each other, but sadly, none of it seems possible.

My heart goes out to Dev. Poor soul, for 7 years he has been in this tormented state, disconnected from everything, even his own self. When Soha and Sona entered his life again, he started softening for Ishwari again too.
Sonakshi's absence had closed his heart for everyone, when she came back to be around him, it made way for Ishwari's access too. Because Deb's devotion and love for Ishwari was never gone anywhere, just hidden beneath hatred for his life.
Now that he resumed normalcy, trying to smile, trying to be satisfied with his life and it's set of ups and down, Ishwari again misuses it.
For the nth time!
Years back when Dev was in his bubble of happiness with Sona, she burst it by popping bills. Dev was pulled back. When He was genuinely trying to move on, she decided to play an angel for Sonakshi by arranging alliance with Ritwik, making it worst for Dev to cope up.
Again, after marriage..She made the infertility issue more about her rather than the girl herself..When things got out of hand, she made sure Dev did not think of going back to Sona..Instead of making them look at their mistakes, what did she do? Instigate and bring in some random prenup papers. For what? Her own satisfaction.
Now when his life has started to bloom again, she again pulled him back like a deathgranger.. Just so that she feels secure about Sonakshi's exit from his life, she proposes ..Rather warns him for remarriage.
At her emotionally manipulating best, she takes advantage of Deb's current vulnerability to her and gives him two options, one which is most desirable but totally out of his hands, impossible. Second, which he despises but it is totally in his hands. Not any one else's.
What will Dev choose? Obviously the second where only he has to suffer and the rest of his family can dance their way to happiness.
Does Ishwari even care how this would impact Dev? How it has potential to torment his bond with Soha forever?
I feel so depressed that Dev is not allowed to be happy in his own life. He has zero rights over his life..And no one even regrets this.

About Sona, this girl ..Stronger than ever before, is trying every day to fight all that she feels for him. She has risen above her past like a Phoenix rises from the fire, forgiven him, has a big heart to forgive Ishwari and even RR, to stand by Dev's side if not as a companion but just as a friend..For she knows how vulnerable he is sometimes. Like Dev said, no one takes better care of him than her. And She knows that.
When she is trying to strike a balance between everything, why is she being questioned again and again about her intentions?
Why does her dad fear her going back to Dev so much? It is not about being her unhappy at all, it is just about thinking only he can understand what is better for her and what is not.
Asha is also very neutral for Dev but she is all about Sonakshi's happiness. She is welcoming him in their lives because she can see that Sonakshi is changing because of Dev. That he does make her happy. She is okay with whatever decision she takes even if it is negative.
This is not the case with Bijoy. He is least bothered about Sonakshi's happiness, has resorted only to emotional blackmail like Ishwari to keep her away from Dev.

What is Sonakshi supposed to do when tomorrow, Dev comes and tells her that his mother wants him to have another 'jeevan saathi' and that even he feels so. She cannot go back to him, neither can she stop him. With the knowledge that her father, the most important person in her life, is so disturbed by even the thought of getting back together...She will let the thought die even before it comes up.

I wonder if this is love of their parents or misused rights they have over their children's lives? And is it an obligation for their sacrifices which the children are paying off by mortifying themselves?

Saumiee your post made me more emotional.
I was feeling like crying while watching Devkshi in this situation. 😭
They have just started behaving normally with each other, only as Soha's parents and may be friends. It was so good to see them in fight free zone and tada their parents dropped the bomb.
They both will die million deaths inside and their maiya and baba can do victory dance on their graves.
I feel so bad for both of them.

Hi Saumiee...
I am sure most of us here echo your thoughts...I do 100%. I think this is probably the exact message CV's are trying to convey to the viewers too...that how over-protectiveness and confidence over their decision making skills for their children, make some of the parents become a hurdle to their children's genuine happiness. The most important thing here is that the so called children are adults in their 30's!

I was not at all surprised at the way Ishwari behaved today...she was just being herself...exactly how has she has always been! But, I was surprised at this dialogue from Bijoy when he said bachche itne bade hogaye hain ki apne decisions khud le rahe hain...When does he think he can call them grown-up's😕

Anyways...I am happy that the story is atleast moving forward...lets wait & see what's in store for us next.😃

As usual lovely post Saumiee🤗

Shreya 😊

I loved it!!! As if someone has pen down what I was feeling. But honestly for very same reason I love this show. This is what some of us go through in our life. When we see such emotion we realize what wrong or what right we actually are doing. With such a great actors this is going to be worth seeing track and very much learning too.

Awesome post👏
It was such an emotional episode, how can they do it to Dev and Sona? They are just trying to be good son and daughter and the parents just take advantage of that? Really sad.

Honestly I too love today's episode. People are bashing Ishwari but today she was not at all manipulative. What she said is correct. She admitted that she was the reason behind Dev and Sona's breakup but at the end it is they who are more responsible. They should have balanced it out which they failed.
But best part was Convo between Sona and Bijoy. The way this girl was handling her father is awesome. I MISS MY DAD TODAY SO MUCH. I too share this kind of bond with him. I love this character. Sona's humble and subtle behaviour is worth watching. I am truly loving this show again.

You echo my thoughts today... the way the elders force their decisions upon thm is totally brutal. Dev is not even able to meet ishwari's eyes whn she tells him to marry someone if not sona. He cant think of any other woman... A once chirpy sona who had sparkling eyes looks empty now😕

Well, it's heart breaking. But it's real. This is how parents are, may be indians.. I am sure most of the children go through this. Parents think they have complete control over their children.. concept of arrange marriage is still consider Ed good over love marriage. This is the upbringing since ages. I hope dev this time be strong and does what is right for him .
