@vibg - Be it movies or TV shows, we are always shown the happy ending. "Happily ever after!" and nothing beyond reunion. Even in the American romcoms, the climax is always about the proposal and zoom out, credits! The process of falling in love is always given the preference and whether they stayed together in love and fought all the hardships together is left to our imagination. The struggles are not highlighted and no one likes to see pain and rejection. Sometimes, the movies justify two-timing too, if a popular actor is the second lover. People have grown up watching the candyfloss romance and that is why find it difficult to watch the scenes that depict the reality. That is why, even when some movies have a realistic and unconventional ending, they flop and the makers are forced to change the climax and bam, it is a box-office hit! Some people are so happy that they do not want to see any negativity on-screen. Some people are so drowned in their miseries that they want to see everything with a rose tinted glass. Neutral people who are willing to embrace unconventional endings and watch the lows of a relationship are very less! As you said, the sad reality!

100% agree with everything you said! that's why I enjoy the "hatke" bollywood & hollywood stuff more than the mega billion $$$ hits.. be it bollywood or hollywood! a story can be entertaining while keeping it real. and a lot of moviemakers in India are doing just that and finding success. Indian TV is far from it... this has happened to me before with couple other Indian shows. I don't watch many desi soaps. I really thought KRPKAB was one such show. my problem is exactly that... it has turned into a potboiler to please the TRPs and majority of people who watch Indian TV. who want candyfloss romance by beautiful people, who consider harrassment as tashan or love😡 viewers like me are few and far between, hence ignored... just brought in by hook thru the promos and beginning of a show. i stay connected to the show I once really enjoyed and liked cause of the actors. but this "truth tablet" and "regressive ML" stuff has totally ruined the show for me. i am sticking around thru the form to see how it will all end... although, i know.. Devakshi live happily after with ishwari and Vicky/RR somehow get punished or forgiven by big hearted Devakshi!!!

Right on point! Tashan is now defined as love and I can't help but notice how hurt the other person will be!😭 I too am sticking around because of the actors and also this is one show which I once loved the most, even prioritized above my work deadlines.😆
